Wabah Ebola Muncul di Kongo, 28 Kasus dan 15 Orang Tewas
ORGANISASI Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) menerima laporan dari Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Demokratik Kongo (DRC) terkait dugaan kasus wabah Ebola di Zona Kesehatan Bulape, Provinsi Kasai, pada 1 September 2025.
Kasus pertama yang teridentifikasi adalah seorang perempuan hamil yang masuk ke Rumah Sakit Umum Rujukan Bulape pada 20 Agustus dengan gejala demam tinggi, diare berdarah, perdarahan, dan kelemahan ekstrem. Ia meninggal dunia pada 25 Agustus akibat kegagalan multi-organ.
Setelah dilakukan uji laboratorium, pada 4 September 2025 Kementerian Kesehatan resmi mengumumkan wabah Ebola. Penyakit ini dikenal sebagai salah satu penyakit serius dan sering berakibat fatal pada manusia. Penularannya bisa terjadi melalui kontak langsung dengan darah atau cairan tubuh satwa liar yang terinfeksi, lalu menyebar antar manusia

Bakongo Belle
This aristocratic young lady from the Kingdom of Kongo in pre-colonial Central Africa is taking a stroll through the forested countryside of her domain. With regards to the hut in the background, I admit I had a bit of trouble finding accurate references for Kongo’s indigenous architecture. A lot of the photos I found online were either idealized Portuguese depictions of questionable accuracy or represented houses from other Central African cultures.
