Plucking Out the Forfeda
Just like I did with My two Elder Futhark sets, I went ahead this morning and removed the Forfeda from My three Ogham sets. Two sets were made from Birch, while one was made from Rowen. Yes, I am in the process of getting a set made from Oak, but I decided to go ahead and remove the Forfeda from My older sets. It will take a month or two before I receive the new set, and I know I’m going to need to do some readings soon, at least for Myself.
Unlike with My Elder Futhark sets, where I’m simply storing the Runes that don’t have a Younger Futhark counterpart, I’m actually throwing away the Forfeda. I feel weird about this, however, mostly because I’m still working through My feelings and thought processes about everything, and also because I’ve had these sets for years. I know I’ll adjust to the change, and I know the change is right for Me. But I’m also totally aware that I’m a sentamental bastard by nature, and letting go of anything is hard for Me. Anyway, what’s done is done, and now just comes the adjustment period.
