Jake and Terezi get so much attenttion throughout the comic in the romantic department (black or red) but both are more fulfilled with their prefferred platonic relationsips.

Sometimes you don’t get closure.
Like, you don’t. I know a lot of Engenes want closure about Heeseung’s sudden departure but the truth is, you might not get it. That’s not to be mean or pessimistic or whatever but that’s how life works sometimes. A lot of Engenes are young, so maybe they haven’t experienced it yet but sometimes in life you don’t get closure and you just have to move forward. “Some things you don’t get over, you just get through them.”
Support Heeseung as a solo artist, he’s going to be amazing. Appreciate and support Enhypen as a group, they’re going to be amazing. It’s so upsetting to see fans basically forgetting that there are 6 other members in the group. Use some of your fury to show them love and compassion because they’re not getting a lot of it from the fandom right now.

Jake is a male HTFsona that was first created during sometime in 2013. He is a Neon Purple sea otter with Bright Lavender belly spot, Pink nose, Black eyes and spiky Black hair. He mainly wears a White tank top, Red shorts and a Golden Yellow medallion (which looks like a roundel).
Born on June,20th,1998, Jake is portrayed as being an occasional flirty and arrogant lifeguard that shows supports to others and is usually a confident individual. He used to be a good friend of James but cutted ties with him regarding past actions, starting a rivalry. At one point, Jake was temporarily suspended from his role as a lifeguard upon admitting to his actions, having underwent a successful 4-month rehab and been reinstated back to his job even though he still retains some of his former characteristics in his persona. He enjoys ska punk music and dislikes disco music, initially had a crush on Sandoz but was rejected by her several times. He’s currently in a relationship with Rebecca. Owner of a motorbike.
Well actually, Jake was originally an older DWTD oc of the same name and was originally colored Dark Blue. I redrew him as a HTFsona sometime in 2013 (which i based it on an old 2012/2013 HTF werewolf artwork i saw of Russell, now considered lost media) and despite having one known photo of it (now lost), it is not in a better quality and the original drawing has since been presumably lost. However, i do have one known drawing of himself as a zombie, which i still have to this day.
To differ from existing otter HTFsonas (and the HTF character Russell), i chose to give him ears, as real otters have smaller ears. In his original 2013-2014 design, Jake’s fur was, as stated above, Dark Blue, his ears had eardrums and initially sported whiskers. His 2020 redesign depicted him with a Lavender fur and Dark Lavender belly spot and his clothing’s color pallette was slightly more saturated and no longer sported whiskers. Like his later iterations, his medallion was colored Red-White. His 2021 redesign depicted his tank top stuffed on his shorts, his fur is now colored Neon Purple, his clothing is mildly less saturated and his spiky hair is now centered. On his current 2025 design, his whiskers were bought back, his tank top was tucked out and his medallion is now Golden Yellow. His tail’s and tank top’s color pallette were slightly altered.
I named him after Jake, one of the blue jays from Angry Birds and Jake The Dog from Adventure Time. From 2013 until 2021, he was originally known as Disco Jake and was meant to be a parody of a HTF character i used to like back then, Disco Bear. The Disco name was dropped as the name didn’t really suit by his appearance.
From 2013 until 2015, all later creations besides Jake such as Tulio, Alan, Cody, Hansel, Frank, Luck, Louis, Pavlov, Harry, Danny and Mikail would be traditionally drawn and was among one of the 12 older HTFsonas to be revived in 2020. In addition to being the very first sea otter HTFsona, he’s also one of the HTFsonas to receive a name change, the HTFsona with the second most design changes (behind Wolfgang) and the HTFsona with the most changes in fur color (at three, while most others had one change). He’s also the only confirmed HTFsona to have been created in 2013.

truth is - i don’t know. right now they seem quite intent on him leaving and honestly erasing his existence from the group (not releasing pre-filmed episodes with him, pulling him from albums, no communication)
best case scenario - public pressure and we get him back
acceptable realistic scenario - he stays a soloist under belift (i could totally see him going by evan). if this whole thing is clarified to be his choice, i hope that everyone supports him. he deserves the best, which is part of why im so upset by this situation because if he wants to go solo, belift completely fumbled the announcement and timing.
rn it seems that they’re intent on erasing his existence from the group, and making him leave. we’ll see if we’re able to change anything, and if anything comes out bc the timing of this is quite suspicious imo (hybe investigation). something happened earlier this week because clearly this wasn’t planned.
