In which Link and co. visit the Stormwind Ark

Zel’s never going to believe me, Link thought as they were flown up into the air, not on the back of Rito, but in a small, flying boat. A mix of Zonai and Rito designs, it was standing room only.
“Oh, Goddess, we’re so high,” Impaz whispered, gripping the edge so tightly her knuckles turned white. Batari and Zellie each took one of her hands, letting her cling to them instead.
“It’s alright, sweetheart,” Odette said gently, rubbing Impaz’s back in soft, soothing circles. “We’re safe as can be, I promise.”
They were brought up, up, up. The last time Link had been so high, he was reclaiming Vah Medoh from the Windblight.
The ship so high up above was smaller than Medoh, but not by much. This giant ark floated easily in the air. (The Stormwind Ark. By the Golden Three, it was real, Link was looking right at it!) Rito flew about and Link could just about see more of them wandering the deck. Like the little boat carrying them, it was a mix of Zonai and Rito designs. Pale brown stone, but many geometric patterns and bright paint.
Oh, Link wished he had the Sheikah slate with him. Or the Purah Pad. Either would do; he so desperately wished he could take a picture. No descriptions would do this justice.
Look carefully, he reminded himself. Everyone will want to know about this.
Tauro’s Zonai Survey Team would lose their minds. Zelda, Purah and Robbie would be furious to miss this. Sidon would grumble over a missed adventure, Bazz would want to explore the ship, Rivan would have so many questions about its history.
As they got closer, Medval began to hum a familiar tune. He didn’t sing, but Link knew the lyrics.
“Once, a god fell from heaven, stilling the Hebra winds. The heavens grew lifeless, just as the air below thinned. With the world in upheaval, we pledged to help the lord…”
Hylia, the song’s that old? Link wondered, eyes popping.
Their little boat hovered just above the ark’s deck and they carefully disembarked. The- pilot? Yes, pilot- bid them farewell and promised to be back to collect them for lunch. With that, he flew away, back towards the surface.
Medval grinned at him and Link realised he was, for once, doing a terrible job of hiding his own astonishment.
“Not bad, huh?” Medval asked cheerfully. Link nodded, dumbstruck.
“I’ll give you the grand tour,” Medval said. He turned on his heel, linked his wing with Odette’s and they all followed in his wake.
