Ignorance, Not Absence of Institutions, Is Fueling Injustice — Lagos Attorney-General
The Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Lawal Pedro, SAN, has asserted that the primary driver of injustice, exploitation, and abuse experienced by residents is not a deficiency in legal institutions but a profound gap in public awareness regarding existing justice mechanisms. This…

Institutions have learned to live with Bitcoin’s volatility because volatility is measurable and, for many strategies, manageable. What still holds back large allocations is the risk of moving the market while getting in or out.

Why Music Charts Are a Model of Institutional Legitimacy
stretching past the corners
past the comfort and pass the acceptable
with no proof nor motivation
the judge rules in none’s favor
he has not walked the gallows
he has not shaken his will
but he has a wig to wear
and he has a judgement to consider
he is not a man of demand

he too is stuck in the flywheel

Human, All-Too-Human Science.—Science today is a communal endeavor, and it is the social structure of science—the connections among researchers both diachronically and synchronically, facilitating the elaboration of scientific research programs trans-generationally and across geographical boundaries—that has made science what it is. The growth of scientific knowledge since the scientific revolution is in large measure a function of the networking of research through educational and publishing institutions. At the same time as this has accelerated the process of research, it has enabled the parallel growth of non-scientific agendas that are attached to growth of science. It is not only because the institutions are parasitic upon the research they organize and administer—and this they are, as it is common knowledge that grants are sought for twice the funds required for the actual research so that the institutions can take their percentage up front—but, worse, the research programs themselves are compromised by the institutions and their bureaucracy, committees, panels, evaluations and “oversight.” The pre-modern era of isolated, individual scientists was, in a way, a purer form of science, insulated from the social pressure brought to bear on human institutions like those of science today, in which conformism and predictability are valued over individual inspiration. The archetype of the lone genius, from which recent historians of science have done their best to distance themselves, is in no way a real threat to institutionalized science, though the flood of vituperation that has been unleashed against “scientific hagiography” is out of all proportion to that lingering shade, but it does betray an unease that the myth exists at all. We have seen from the history of science that not only was Archimedes unable to save Syracuse, but the best minds of Greece—which were the best minds of the ancient world—could not save Greece from the Roman Legions.

BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, is taking a significant step toward launching an Ethereum staking ETF — a move that could reshape institutional access to ETH and potentially reduce the heavy outflows the asset has faced in recent weeks.
A new Delaware filing confirms the creation of the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust, signaling that BlackRock intends to add a staking component to its existing ETH ETF. According to ETF analyst Eric Balchunas, this is the first formal step ahead of an expected SEC submission.
This development comes at a critical moment. ETH recently dropped below $3,000, effectively erasing all year-to-date gains. Outflows from Ethereum ETFs have accelerated to $1.53 billion this month, including $1.1 billion pulled from BlackRock’s own ETHA fund.
On-chain data adds to the pressure:
• ETH is trading below its Realized Price, indicating deep undervaluation.
• ETH’s market cap is now close to a 1:1 ratio with TVL, a historical bottoming zone.
Meanwhile, BitMine Immersion (BMNR) — linked to Fundstrat’s Tom Lee — continues massive accumulation and now holds 3.56M ETH (~2.9% of supply). But with an average entry of $4,017, BitMine is sitting on nearly $3B in unrealized losses, even larger than MicroStrategy’s peak Bitcoin drawdown.
A staking ETF from BlackRock could introduce a new structural challenge: if institutions can access staking yields through a fully regulated, low-cost ETF, BitMine’s current model may face significant competitive pressure.
The next few weeks could determine whether ETH finds a cyclical bottom — or stays under outflow pressure until macro conditions shift.
