Did people in the Middle Ages really suffer from terrible teeth and foul breath? A closer look at medieval medical texts and hygiene practices reveals a more complex picture of dental care and everyday health.
if you mock someone for not being able to shower often enough for your wretched standards, I pray you get a bad case of chronic pain/fatigue. I pray the worst for you, I truly do.

Indoor air quality has become one of the most important concerns for organizations that prioritize employee wellbeing and building hygiene. Modern commercial spaces rely heavily on HVAC systems to circulate air throughout offices, meeting rooms, production areas, and public spaces. While these systems are designed to maintain comfort, their internal duct networks can gradually accumulate dust, debris, and airborne contaminants.
Because these ducts remain hidden behind ceilings and walls, many facility managers assume that everything is functioning properly as long as airflow remains consistent. However, airflow alone cannot confirm whether the internal surfaces of ducts are clean or contaminated. Regular inspection is essential to understand the real condition of these ventilation systems.
A reliable inspection method like Ductoscopy helps organizations identify potential issues within their HVAC systems before they begin to affect indoor air quality.
Traditional HVAC maintenance often focuses on external equipment such as filters, vents, and air handling units. However, the ductwork itself plays an equally important role in maintaining hygienic air circulation. Without proper inspection, dust layers and microbial growth can remain undetected for long periods.
Using Ductoscopy, trained hygiene professionals can inspect the internal condition of ducts using specialized camera technology. This method allows experts to navigate through the ventilation network and capture clear visual evidence of the system’s condition.
Instead of relying on assumptions, facility managers receive real insights into the cleanliness and structural state of their duct systems. This level of transparency helps organizations make informed maintenance decisions and prioritize necessary cleaning procedures.
Many industries must maintain strict hygiene standards to comply with health and safety regulations. Facilities such as hospitals, offices, manufacturing plants, and commercial buildings are often required to demonstrate that their ventilation systems are properly maintained.
Inspection services that use Ductoscopy provide detailed visual documentation of duct conditions. These reports can be extremely valuable during regulatory inspections, internal audits, and facility maintenance planning.
When organizations maintain documented proof of their HVAC inspections, they strengthen their commitment to compliance and demonstrate responsible facility management.
When dust and debris accumulate inside ventilation systems, they can eventually circulate through indoor environments. This may contribute to discomfort, allergies, and reduced air quality for building occupants.
Routine inspections help facility teams identify contamination before it becomes a widespread issue. Early detection allows maintenance teams to take corrective action and restore proper airflow conditions.
Organizations that prioritize indoor air quality demonstrate a commitment to employee health and workplace safety. Transparent inspection methods allow facility managers to monitor ventilation systems effectively and ensure they meet hygiene expectations.
With technologies such as Ductoscopy, businesses can maintain cleaner HVAC systems and support healthier indoor environments for everyone inside the building.
idk how to shape me eyebrows, it always looks weird when i try to do it :(
any advice?

Clean office environments are often associated with polished floors and tidy desks. However, one of the most important elements of workplace hygiene remains hidden inside ventilation systems. Air ducts carry conditioned air throughout the building, and their condition directly affects the quality of air employees breathe every day.
Professional HVAC Services play a vital role in maintaining clean ventilation systems. Without regular inspection and maintenance, air ducts gradually accumulate dust, pollen, microbial particles, and other airborne contaminants. Over time, these pollutants circulate through the workspace, reducing indoor air quality and creating discomfort for employees.
Indoor air quality has become a key concern for modern workplaces. Employees spend long hours indoors, which means that the air inside office buildings must be carefully managed. When air ducts contain debris or microbial growth, contaminants can spread throughout the ventilation system.
Regular duct cleaning helps remove these hidden pollutants and improves the overall quality of indoor air. Cleaner air circulation supports healthier workplaces and contributes to better employee comfort.
Poor air quality can affect both physical health and workplace performance. Employees exposed to polluted indoor air may experience headaches, fatigue, or allergy symptoms. Over time, these issues can reduce productivity and increase absenteeism.
Maintaining clean ventilation systems ensures that the air inside the office remains fresh and comfortable. Businesses that prioritize indoor air quality demonstrate a commitment to employee wellbeing and responsible workplace management.
Air duct inspection and cleaning require specialized knowledge and equipment. NADCA certified technicians are trained to inspect ventilation systems according to industry standards and identify areas that require cleaning.
These professionals understand how contaminants accumulate within duct systems and use advanced techniques to remove them safely. Their expertise ensures that the cleaning process is thorough while maintaining the integrity of the ventilation system.
Routine maintenance of ventilation systems offers long term advantages for businesses. Clean ducts allow air to circulate efficiently, which helps HVAC equipment operate more smoothly and consume less energy.
Improved airflow also extends the lifespan of heating and cooling systems. By investing in preventive maintenance, organizations can reduce operational costs while maintaining healthy indoor environments.
Healthy air supports healthier workplaces. When offices maintain clean ventilation systems, they create spaces where employees can work comfortably and breathe with confidence throughout the day.
Me: *decides to shave legs randomly at midnight bc im bored and my legs are itching against my bedsheets*
Me, 10 min later: *realizes as leg skin starts to burn that there’s a reason we do this in the shower!?!?*
Me: *freaking out wondering what to do. Remembers that men use Aftershave to soothe their faces. Aftershave has rubbing alcohol in it! I have a spray bottle of that by my bed for Diabetic Purposes!*
Me: *Sprays Alcohol on Razor Burn*
Me, out loud, perfectly calm as legs start to sizzle with the fury of a thousand fire-ants:
“Ah. Mistakes were made.”
A clean scalp can really change a person huh
I was so irritated and frustrated before and nothing is right in the world but after I washed my hair the world is beautiful again
Don’t forget to wash your hair folks <33
For the past 3 days the entire nursing home. All 8 floors… ran out of paper towels. Not good for hygiene. I call the State regularly and file complaints, said I would, and magically they appeared.
Clean desks and floors do not guarantee clean air. The air you breathe travels through HVAC ducts that may contain dust, mold spores, and contaminants. Professional HVAC duct cleaning and air duct inspection services help maintain optimal indoor air quality and system efficiency. HVAC Ductoscopy provides detailed visual inspection of HVAC systems to ensure your commercial workspace maintains healthy air circulation and improved air quality standards.
Indoor air quality is an important factor in workplace hygiene and employee wellbeing. Accumulated dust, allergens, and contaminants in ventilation ducts can negatively impact air quality. Professional Air Duct Cleaning ensures that ventilation systems are properly maintained, helping businesses maintain cleaner and healthier workspaces.
Throwaway account as my boyfriend is a reddit frequent flyer. I (34 F) just found out my boyfriend (40 M) of 4 years and his son both have some disgusting habits that I genuinely don’t know how to address with him. Let me preface with the fact that I am head-over-heels in love with this man, so suggestions to “throw the whole boyfriend away” are really hard for me to consider at the moment, so I’m looking for some genuine advice.
We have been together 4 years, living together for 2. In this time, there have been small things I noticed that I would bring up (forgetting to flush in the middle of the night, the occasional toothpaste splash on the mirror, not washing hands to eat a sandwich after doing yard work) but nothing that I ever considered earth shattering.
In the last few weeks, I have suddenly realized that both he and his son spend a lot of time with their fingers in their mouths. Not in a thumb-sucking way, but more like nail biting, cuticle chewing ways. As a self-proclaimed germ freak, since noticing it for the first time I became hyper aware of everything they touch and even how long the water is running when they wash their hands after using the bathroom or when I say to wash up for dinner. In this time, I have (on multiple occasions) seen them BOTH pick their toe nails or their nose and rub it on my couch cushions or even flick it in the air, and not wash their hands again before moving on to the kitchen. I have now found myself incredibly grossed out by everything in the house and find myself unable to use dishes without washing them or eat cold cuts if they were opened without me present. To make matters worse, I cringe at the idea of even kissing my boyfriend right now.
I have always made a big point about cleanliness and how I feel about mouth germs. As a person in a relationship I know that sounds insane but mouth germs freak me out so bad, that I have genuinely lost sleep over this already.
Today, as the icing on the shit cake, I was scrolling on my phone and happened to look up right as my boyfriend scratched the inside of his ear and then proceeded to chew on his fingers. I couldn’t look away, I was so horrified.
He has tried to kiss me twice today and I turned away playing it off with some cheek kisses because I am so grossed out by what I saw. How many times has he been gnawing away after picking at his toes??? How many times has he kissed me with booger breath??
If you were me, how would you address this with EITHER of them? How do you get someone out of a habit like that? Do I actually have to consider leaving him over this? Do I just straight up call a therapist and figure out what my next steps are?
I don’t know what it is about humans that we try to overcomplicate communication so much. “Hey, so you know how sometimes I can get fixated on germs? Well, I don’t want to kiss you because I’ve become aware of how much stuff you put into your mouth without washing your hands or brushing your teeth. Today, so far, I’ve watched you chew on earwax, and now I’m wondering if you aren’t also chewing on boogers and toe jam. I know this is something I need to address with my therapist, but I’m wondering if you wouldn’t be willing to help by washing your hands more often? I do really want to kiss you, but now I’m in my head about this, and I can’t just forget it.”
tw/cw for personal rant about my looks/hygiene
[[MORE]]AuDHD is a bitch. it doesnt excuse the way i look. but it just is.
trust me. you dont want to tickle me.
if you saw me, you’d probably cringe. back away. my laugh isnt that pretty. my smile is gross and my teeth are yellowing slowly. i barely brush my hair even though its short.
i dont have great reactions. you’d stare at me and tickle me just to try to prove a point, but it’s not going to work on me. who wants a ticklee with yellowing teeth and messy hair? not you. you don’t deserve me. you don’t.
i’m never going to believe someone who says despite all this they still want to tickle me. just…stop trying to feel so sorry for me. i should feel sorry for myself. im doing my best and its still not enough.
i dont deserve the tickles. there’s a reason i try not to let people do it super easily. you dont fucking want to see me. im gross.
