It’s really sad how terrified Hunter is of Belos’ “cursed” form. Like this is a kid who has been in all kind of fights all season, including Kikkimora trying to kill him. But he freezes and has to have Luz pull him through the door when he sees the palismen monster/cursed!Belos and flinches and his eyes go wide when his arm turns into that form.

Claude Akins, Richard Lynch. McCall’s mentor is back in town. Not coping well with retirement. Nazis are planning a robbery. Ending genuinely shocked me. It’s a strong script–surprisingly thoughtful–with lots of action. But, as good as it is, there’s more going on here than a crime story. Particularly for McCall. Fall 1989: NBC Saturday after Empty Nest. Against ABC Saturday Mystery Movie: Christine Cromwell; Saturday Night with Connie Chung (CBS). 9/10
