I watched this video in June 2025 back when I’d only seen EmpiresSMP

so I only knew those people,

but through this video,

I was introduced to Grian+Skizz+Impulse,

and now,

I’m an avid Life Series and Hermitcraft fan as well as listening to most episodes of the Imp and Skizz Podcast,

I regularly watch The Life Series with far too much of my happiness staked in it, as well as every single Gem or Grian episode of HC (Gem and Grian and Lizzie are my mains, except Lizzie’s on her break).

(also side note: congratulations on your baby Lizzie!)

And now, here we are: this is my 125th post. I’ve posted two oneshots and a short little thing on my WIP. I’ve written too many AUs and oneshots to count. I’ve read nearly 100 Wattpad fanfictions and 2 AO3 ones. And now I’m into GIGGS D&D.

Isn’t it crazy how journeys evolve? And, although my journey really started on May 21st, 2025, it really began in June, when I watched that video.

I don’t really know how I haven’t posted this lilguy yet. (I do, it’s anxiety) But here he is.

Tiny humming Grian! He’s inspired by this art from @taojave that I asked if I could crochet years ago now and from an old account. And I started and then he sat in half completed project purgatory for a while. And then I finally finished him last year and then never posted him.

It didn’t photograph well but I did crochet a little cable sweater detail on him that I’m pretty proud of.

Also I made his wings attach at a small point only so they can swivel a bit.

Currently I have the TNT block hanging in my room with him pinned on to it like he’s trying to steal it. Feels like the right way to display him.

Also I just need to rant a little about his eyes. ‘Such a simple face’. Uhg. That means if you don’t absolutely nail the one detail it doesn’t look right at all. I embroidered and cut away his eyes like 6 times, not exagerating. And I made two different versions of his head to get the shape right. I’m happy with how he came out. But my gosh did he make me work for it.

Should I attempt a fem grian cosplay… I do own a red sweater and black skirt (NO PANTS HERE)… And my hair is a pretty similar colour to his skin…

This book is still ongoing and as I’m posting this it has 21 chapters!

SPOILERS BELOW

This book pulls on my heart with the constant memories back to 3rd Life and with Grian’s relationships with the characters.

Grian’s need to protect Scar is cute, but I am worried for Grian’s health. He bearly sleeps, treats his own wounds, and is clearly having some PTSD.

Scar immediately knowing that Grian isn’t Last Life Grian is crazy and just shows how much he pays attention.

With everyone being able to tell that Grian isn’t the same as he once was is a little nerve wracking. But I am glad Mumbo knows.

Martyn’s boogey kill on Grian was very well written and such a good parallel to 3rd Life! I also loved the details of Martyn’s eyes sort of shifting from green to red to symbolize him being the boogeyman.

I loved every little baking scene especially when Scar is concerned for Grian so he asks Grian to stay inside and make cookies with him!
