Rouvy early spring stage 3 - Schorrise to Flobecq

In this varied series, stage 3 was the best of the lot.

After a route through key Flemish towns which took in neither of their big climbs, this one had more to keep you entertained.

Fewer highways, and more back roads with a lot of altitude gain built in.

I have had both hardware and software issues in the last week or so, which isn’t necessarily the fault of Rouvy or Van Rysel. But this route…

I flipped and slammed the stem to get the front low. It felt awesome, so much so I thought “what if I raise the seat to get a better drop?”. Well, I did and it was stupid. I should have gone slower. Dropping the bars 10mm and raising the seat 10mm was too much for my poor hamstrings. So for now, I’m putting the seat back down until I can get rid of my hamstring pull.
