Live the Victorious life
When you struggle through life, remember the words of Jesus in John 16:33 (NKJV): “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
As believers, we are not spared difficulties, persecution, or opposition—but we are given peace in Christ. His ultimate victory over sin and death secures our hope and gives us purpose and rest, even in the midst of life’s storms.
Today, as I sat with a friend of more than thirty years, listening to the deep heartache, trauma, and hurt he has endured, I found myself once again thanking the Lord for His sustaining grace.
I, too, have walked through my own struggles, yet I continually remind myself of who I am in Christ and what Jesus has done for me—the least deserving. In those moments, Scripture has been my anchor.
One passage that has often strengthened me is Romans 4:17-18 (NKJV): “(As it is written, ‘I have made you a father of many nations’) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.”
Abraham believed against all odds, and we are invited to exercise the same faith. God calls us to speak His promises into our lives with boldness, for the same authority that raised Christ from the dead is at work in us (see Matthew 28:18).
So remind yourself daily: with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). And declare with confidence that you are living a victorious life—not because of your strength, but because of all that Jesus has empowered you to be.
