Today I will start progesterone for my ovulation. I did the BD last night and today i feel a bit of cramping, so i figured i was ovulating…..but nope. Just took an ovulation test and it was negative.

Today and tomorrow will be difficult to BD, but I will try my hardest if I’m going through these hormonal meds.
I have a mixture of optimism with pessimism going on….idk.

#ElSereno, please join us as we begin to #EnvisionEastern, a community effort to improve Eastern Avenue!
•
We built the Valley Blvd Bridge, completed Phase I of our Soto/Mission improvements (with two more Phases coming soon), and work on Alhambra Avenue is underway. Now we’re focusing on making Eastern Avenue safer, more accessible and a nicer experience for pedestrians 🚶♂️🚶♀️, bikes 🚲 and cars 🚘 .
•
Through community planning meetings, you’ll have the opportunity to provide feedback and help us develop the improvements the community wants to see on Eastern.
•
Our first meeting is Wednesday, April 18, at the El Sereno Senior Center from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. We want to thank all the community partners who have given us early feedback, particularly our local schools and alumni from Wilson High, El Sereno Middle School and Farmdale Elementary School, El Sereno Park and The Los Angeles Christian Presbyterian Church.

In #ElSereno announcing $1.2M in new, much-needed safety upgrades for Alhambra Ave! The #community suggested improvements include new traffic signal 🚦, lighted sidewalk, #art wall, #bikelanes & more. Together, these improvements will make this corridor much safer.

Similar to constructing the adjacent El Sereno Arroyo Playground , implementation of these improvements took political will, plenty of community advocacy and City entities coming together to overcome bureaucratic obstacles. I thank all our partners for their help, especially the local residents, led by the El Sereno Arroyo Playground Vecinos and Concerned Neighbors of El Sereno. #CD14 @ladotofficial @onmybikeinla (at El Sereno Arroyo Playground)

CD14! Time is flying this month/cycle! One would think time seems to pass extremely slowly when you’ve been sick, but that hasn’t been the case.
I’m enjoying a weekend off with nothing planned except church tomorrow. And Ive actually tried to get out of my church duties tomorrow as my parents thought of giving me tickets for a festival as my bday present. But alas I haven’t managed to find someone to cover for me - so we’re not going and my parents will have to find another present for me.
I have two weeks left of my 20s. It’s a strange thought. But a lot has happened in the last decade. I have travelled loads and educated myself. Earned two degrees and landed two full time jobs.
Next week calls for evening shifts, job interview, insemination and weekend shifts at the hospital.
CD14 and I’m spotting fresh blood.
Great.
I’ve been doing this quite a lot the last 18ish months. Spotting/light bleed before or after ovulation. Never on my ovulation though. I’ve had it checked out and tests done etc. Nothing abnormal. Just hella annoying!
Changing the Fabric of Downtown Los Angeles
On January 18th, the Fashion District Business Improvement District, Council District 14, the Bureau, and the community celebrated the long anticipated groundbreaking for the $1.9M Fashion District Phase 2 project. The project, designed in-house by the Engineering Division, includes the repair of 25,000 sq. ft. of sidewalk, 26 new street trees, bus stop lighting and curb ramp upgrades along Los Angeles Street from Olympic Boulevard to 7th Street. The Bureau’s Special Projects Division began the improvement project on January 23rd. The Bureau looks forward to enhancing the pedestrian-friendly nature of a continually improving downtown.
Just had my fertility acupuncture and it was AMAZING. Seriously. Im quite flabbergasted about how much it affected me tbh.
I feel really peaceful but buzzy, serene and sleepy but focused at the same time. I’m so going back. I got way more info and insight than any GP has ever given me. She also basically said pre-natals like Pregnacare are a marketing scam, and that I should take supplements in a far more targeted way.
She also said iron and vitamin D deficiency could be why we haven’t conceived, and why my cycles are pretty short and why my bleed only lasts for two days and why I’m tired so often. She also said to get my bf’s semen analysed asap (regardless of what NHS say about waiting for a year).
But I don’t wanna start changing too much straightaway and need to do more research on all the stuff she told. Plus I still want to believe that nothing is wrong and that we’ll conceive soon, so I will keep drinking my herbal teas and focus on staying healthy.
Just ordered a bunch of pregnancy test on a ‘No-Rush’ delivery instead of making use of my Amazon Prime just so I won’t be tempted to pee on sticks ridiculously early.
So I am super excited my day 3 and day 10 blood tests came back normal. Yay! I have eggs! So that basically this means that worst case we can still use my eggs. I still have to do the hsg next cycle but I’m really hoping that with clomid there will not have to be a next cycle. Currently on cd 14 and it looks like I have not ovulated yet. I have my husband bding every other day at this point, just in case.
Cycle Day 14
Every Day
My MIL tried to give me “Once I stopped doing all of that I got pregnant” when my husband mention how I get up everyday at 5am to take my temperature. I responded with “Well you didn’t have a medical condition that prevented you from getting pregnant.” Telling me to just relax isn’t going to do shit, just like telling you to relax is going to cure your diabetes. Then she kept trying to draw similarities to her TTC experience 43 years ago to my experience while taking fertility meds. Mind you she never had to take medication, but please do go on about your experience is just as stressful and difficult as mine.
Still no positive test. I hope it comes tomorrow.
I’ve got EWCM! and I just checked my cervix (with a speculum) and it’s open! I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen it open before now but wowww. 😰
I have a doctors appointment this afternoon but I’m hoping Josh can come home early enough to shower, BD and be back in town in time for my appointment. 😄
Sorry TMI but I’m excited! I’ve only just started feeling good enough today to have sex. Yusss.
I hope this is our month! 🎆🎇
CD14/4DPO
I have all of the emotions right now. All of them.
Progesterone is rough, man. I don’t know, maybe it’s from the trigger shot. Or possibly the estrogen. But I am a mess. I cleaned the house, baked cookies, made lots of food for the week and cried a lot this weekend. I am super duper needy. I can’t help it. Poor Kate. At least she got chocolate chip pumpkin spice cookies.
Otherwise, not much else to say. It’s only 4DPO. So, there really isn’t much to report. I have been taking my vitamins like a champ, and using the terrible suppositories before bed. Honestly, it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Don’t get it wrong, it’s unpleasant. But I expected more unpleasantness. Well, that is if you’re not counting the mood swings. I still have like ten days left. Ugh. Also, they were not covered by my insurance so they cost like $150. I am skipping acupuncture because I really can’t afford it. It’s $65 every week, on top of everything else.
There really isn’t much else going on. My best friend’s mom is coming to visit this weekend, which is exciting. We’re going apple picking. I am going to make all of the apple sauce and many apple pies.
I’m also hoping to make time to go to the gym this week. It’s been ages since I’ve been. Also, one of the hormones is making me extra hungry. This is the feeling I usually get a couple days before my period. Only I have it now. And it sucks.
I can give my Doctor Who reviews for episodes 3 and 4. Well, I was kind of disappointed by the Robin Hood episode. It had it’s moments, but eh. It wasn’t the fun episode I had hoped for. Also, the golden arrow thing at the end was super dumb. But the spoon bit was cute, I thought. It was also nice to have a historical episode again, I feel like those are usually some of the best. I loved the Agatha Cristie episode with David Tennant, and who doesn’t like the Vincent Van Gogh episode. Classic. But sadly, this did not deliver in that way.
However, I thought episode 4, “Listen,” was easily the best one of the season so far. This is what Peter Capaldi is good at. He’s good at scary. And although I felt that this episode ripped off some earlier themes (knocking on a space craft when there should be no one outside and creatures that never show themselves remind anyone else of “Midnight”?) I thought this was a strong episode, and it totally freaked me out.
I feel like the show has been lacking for new ideas. Things have felt rehashed, and the things they’re trying to make feel as new are being pushed too hard. Like yeah, we get it. He’s older. I would not be surprised if he’s a one season Doctor, though. I still just haven’t bonded with the guy, and I can’t imagine that I’m the only person feeling this way.
