Why I Compare Myself to a Cat
If I had to choose one animal to describe myself, I would pick a cat. Cats live with independence and affection, and that balance feels very close to who I am. I enjoy spending time with people, but only when I truly want to. When it becomes too much, I prefer to sit quietly on my own, surrounded by nature and Calm Company.
My Quiet Side
I love peaceful moments…
I spent tonight with a couple friends and their dogs.. very very different energy than me and my cat. The dogs were funny, one was constantly slamming into me and drooling on me and crashing around, the other was much more chill and annoyed about the other one.. My cat is so different and it’s just funny to see that in their pets. My cat likes to hang out on certain spots but after it’s been a bit he’ll wander over like hey where you at and chirp in a high pitch way and then go oh ok you’re good when he sees me which is a specific tone one note .. when he’s above you on the fridge he’ll lightly bap you like haha I got you and run off.. he’s a goober silly kid, but he’s sweet and not very violent in motions.. He likes to chew stuff though so that’s a bit similar. Idk just was considering it when I got home. I’m glad though I didn’t get a dog now, my doctor said I shouldn’t years ago and just like an hour of tug of war with their dogs has given me some arm pains because of lupus and fibromyalgia.

CATS AND DOGS

It doesn’t rain cats or dogs,
Snakes or mice or even frogs.
Cows don’t jump over the moon,
No one has duels at high noon.
Girls don’t always get the guys,
Aliens don’t fall from the skies.
But one thing I know is true,
Our Father loves even you.
And though we have gone astray,
Dear Jesus has opened the way.
Salvation can be for us all,
If we will just accept His call.

For #SiblingSunday I’ll share the spotlight for once. My brother Arlo just graduated from beginner training! There’s still more work to do, of course, and the trainer even said it’s not exactly brag-worthy material at this stage… I just hope he learns to leave me alone and give me the respect I so clearly deserve!
