most heartbreaking timeline perspective realization i had for the snyderverse was “lex couldve been robin” and ive been crying over it ever since

kidnapping her and murdering her son (briefly) aside, i think martha would really like whatevers wrong with lex. i think she would feed him and take care of him like a sick baby bird. i mean, she took in an extraterrestrial without a second thought.

i think my fave part of the zack snyder interviewer is when they were talking about how do you choose an antagonist for superman and the interviewer said “luthor was going to be the antagonist but doomsday his vessel?” And Zack goes “his child yeah”

He IS babygirl and I’m tired of people ignoring that! “I like those shoes” “I’m rich” “I bought the bank” that’s my babygirl right there.

Okay so this is probably going to come out really clumsy but I am tired and wired and burnt out so I don’t care

I know that there are several motives for why bvs Lex did what he did but I was thinking about it and I wonder if some of it was almost a self fulfilling prophecy? It’s pretty common for csa survivors to blame themselves for their trauma and what happened to them (this is higher among csa survivors than among adult assault survivors apparently). Like, Lex is a billionaire but he makes sure that his company does all of this good stuff and yeah that could be because he’s just a cool dude but like I said, there could be multiple motivations here. And I don’t that his fight with Superman is about self-blame but I think that how far he went with it was kind of proving it to himself. Like kidnapping Martha and writing ‘witch’ on her in marker and stuff. He kidnapped Martha to get to Supes but the writing was so unnecessary. It’s like he’s been apologizing his whole life for nothing and now he’s finally found what he’s been trying to make up for. He’s flooded with this sick kind of relief as he finally does something so horrible to make sense of all the apologizing he’s been doing his whole life. It’s like he’s finally proving it to himself, that I always knew I was bad, I always knew I was wrong, mentality

Oh man, Clark comes back and is greeted by the realization his fight with Bruce could have ended so much worse. Simultaneously he finds the sight of Bruce perched over a surrendering Kryptonian General with a Kryptonite spear is one of the hottest things he’s seen in a while. In a stomach turning way, but still. Hot.

Bruce disengaging during their fight was more of a miracle than Clark realized.

Low effort stupid batfleck Bruce wayne drawing I found from a couple months back 😭😭 got nothing else to post for the moment

This is a bit silly don’t take it too seriously (I’m pretty neutral on the snyderverse). Bits of BVS and justice league are pretty boring but at the same time im quite invested in what could’ve been. You know how it is

I appreciate that even though the writers weren’t allowed to make Buffy and Faith’s relationship official with their kiss, they at least went all out with the queer subtext between them. I swear, the stupidity of the networks back then is unbearable sometimes.

Also, it annoys me that Buffy ended up with another Slayer in the comics. Why not Faith?! It was finally the opportunity! I don’t get it!

Oh boy! There’s tons. Clark’s initial flight when he finally learns to do more than jump, Bruce’s sprint into the dust to save Wayne Enterprises, Lex on the helicopter platform, the “here I am” scene in BVS, any moment where Bruce is dragging/throwing Clark, Clark driving the spear into Doomsday, Diana being thrown backwards and grinning before she gets back up, the entire funeral in Metropolis for Clark, the funeral in Smallville with Bruce and Diana standing together, the grave dirt hovering above Clark’s casket, the “scream” sequence in ZSJL, Cyborg’s “visualization” sequences, putting Clark back into the Kryptonian chamber, Clark in the cornfield, Bruce in the Cave warehouse with the JL, the lake scene (where it splits and they rise up, plus alfred!), Clark in the black suit letting the axe hit his shoulder and smirking, dawn as the JL saves the day, and the lake house scene between Bruce and J’onn….there’s so many!
