Hey… so
Is my vet allowed to do this? The firckinh Vet refusing to transfer ownership.
I have a question, what does one do when a cat who was born on their property gets taken by someone and chipped just for the kitten to be either “catch and released” or perhaps was lost after neutering him and now we can not chip him due to the previous owners even thought they haven’t been answering to any calls from the vet or potentially the chipping company. its been more then 14 days (the time frame the vet gave us to declare the cat to be abandoned) so we can re-chip them. Now the vet is completely refusing the previous plan they gave us, told us we can basically keep the cat but if we ever lose the cat again he will stay missing unless he somehow comes back home.
Is there away to fix this? please we really do love this sweetheart and my soul aches knowing if one day this speedy cat some how gets out we will lose him forever.
(Small update, they are just simply refusing to give us the documentation of abandonment and idk if we could be allowed to bring our cat to the country to get their chip changed now due to this, btw in Cali if that helps..)

Cessa update!
She made it through surgery, and the vet is going to work out a payment plan with ne for what I can’t pay. I have over half of the money for the surgery. I’ve been told she was very sleepy but okay! Unfortunately I’m going to be at work when my mother picks her up, but I’m gonna get pics one way or another. I’ve been suggested by friends and coworkers to get her an eye patch lol

Update on Cessa!
She’s been dropped off at the vet. The surgery she is getting will remove the eye then suture it shut. Due to how late in the day the surgery will finish, they will be keeping her overnight. They’ll be doing a blood screen to check her for infection, which I enthusiastically agreed to due to her hiding for 2 days. The upper cost they gave me was a much more manageable $1200, so I’m updating the GoFundMe to show that. She was not happy being in the carrier, but she was far more alert than she was initally last night. She had no interest in food at all during the night but did drink water. They’re going to feed her medicated food overnight as well. They said she’ll be okay, and I will have to pay after the surgery, when I go to pick her up. It gives me a bit more time to get the money up for it. I am on my way to get loans now, I’m hoping I’ll be able to cover this.

Been accidentally getting charged twice for Zoe’s medivet vet plan both today and again on Febuary.
Noticed when I realised my money was low on my bank app. Banking apps are a godsend.
Seems to be a duplication error due to the price increase. Thankfully Medivet’s finance team is looking into it and will refund me soon.
I’m happy I noticed, that’s two months of double charges and could have been more. I don’t have much money (on universal credit), so every penny matters.

Mr. Zima is at the vet to get at least 1 possibly 3 teeth pulled and a dental cleaning(back molars, ones definitely gonna go not sure about the others) AND they’re gonna probably remove the BB gun pellet from his side since he’ll be under anesthesia anyway. It doesn’t seem to bother him and it shouldn’t be affecting anything really where it is so it wasn’t worth it to put him under just for that but since he’ll be under anyway and it’s like right under the skin they said they might as well, barring any complications during the dental.
I know it’s like a routine thing but he’s so little and has so many health issues I’m super nervous about it all. Poor little guy.

Not sure. Could be a simple head trauma. Baby animals can be a little clueless without any parent around.
