I’m trying a new tarot layout. I don’t seem to change layouts very often, but I felt one of those “time for a change” moments. I’m also using a new deck with cats as the theme. So, let’s see if the energy connects.

How are things going in the Royal Family? Feels like there’s so much tension.
Learned from experience: Eight of Pentacles. A period of diligence and hard work pay off. Experience shows that continued learning and honing of skills never ends. Attention to detail results in having a good reputation.
Knowledge: Nine of Pentacles. Strong self sufficiency and true grit results in abundance and success. Know when to pause and celebrate the hard work and dedication to duty.
Advantages: Seven of Cups. Power of imagination, illusion and dreams. Comes with a warning about living a fantasy or too much wishful thinking. About escaping responsibilities for some.
What to look out for: The Devil. Trapped, addiction, unhealthy attachments and indulging bad habits. Can serve as a message to confront inner fears. There’s a willingness to become attached to what is probably not good for them. Represents materialism, physical pleasure, and even feeling trapped within one’s own wealth.
Opportunity in next three months: Temperance. Finding balance and harmony in life. Stop with impulsive decisions and find inner calm. Restrain yourself and practice some patience. The card shows liquid pouring between two cups. It’s a symbol for alchemy. It’s the act of taking two unlike substances and creating something unique with them.
Everyone seems hard at work. Working engagements where they are visible and where they are not. There seems to be a lot of preparation work being done behind the scenes.
Here’s what I’m getting, Charles has very specific ideas on how he wants everything. In particular, he is giving William preparation for him as king. Both of them have very different ideas about the role and their is some clashing.
One topic is the role of wealth. Charles wants to gather as much as possible and William believes wealth should be used as a means to an end. Since they are both stubborn they are unable to come to terms on what the role is in regards to wealth.
William does have some traits of his father. Both like to work and work too much. Where Charles has some expectation that others should be on the side of working hard, William tends to think the responsibility is his and not others. Charles judges, William does not.
Charles would like William to take a greater interest in his experiences as the Prince of Wales and as the current king. William isn’t being the best of listeners and may be missing some important information.
Because of these things the rest of the family is on edge. All are trying to please Charles and work hard, do more, but it’s left marks of stress. Not enough breaks are being taken.
While Charles and William are not at loggerheads, they do bicker and snap at each other. It’s also caused some tension within the family because relationships are not running smoothly. Both of them need to find a solution that is unique to them but works in an established framework.
Ok, so this layout I found harder to work with but the results still showed in the cards and their meaning. I’d try it again. Might be a question of it being new to me. I know I had to relax and meditate more and let the interpretation of the cards and the interpretation of the reading flow differently and that wasn’t easy. The empath side of me had to really work it. For me that’s not a bad thing at all.
