For years, venture capitalists have been skeptical of beverage startups, citing thin margins and brutal distribution as reasons most brands never break out. But a new wave of “functional soda” companies has been challenging that assumption, including Poppi, the prebiotic soda brand that grew from a kitchen experiment into a $1.95 billion acquisition by PepsiCo.
On this episode of…
Economy & Business News – Poppi founder on TikTok, Super Bowl ads, and her return to Shark Tank
I hate that people who make videos and movies and such always give warnings so you can avoid flashing images but random unskippable ads don’t. I don’t have epilepsy or anything like that but my headaches are massively affected by light and every time I get an ad with flashing lights it just pisses me off.
Flashing images is my main issue, but this also extends to content warnings. Like I don’t particularly want to watch gore or horror late at night (or ever really) cause a movie ad felt like it. I’m not saying they should necessarily be entirely removed, obviously they have reasons for putting those things in and fair enough, but I’d really appreciate a warning sometimes :,)))
This is fully just a rant but idk if anyone else feels the same it’s really been annoying me lately lol
comic book ads make me laugh so hard like damn why is wrestlemania and levi’s jeans saving the day 😭😭😭

Its so weird seeing all this fighting between companies vs companies and companies vs people for ad space. Seeing so much of life being “how can i shove an ad into here”. Delivery rooms for babies might have ads on the walls some day.
When i feel like ads dont work that much. I heard its arrogant to fool yourself into thinking your immune to ads. I know they work on me a little but i dont think they work enough to warrant this much intense focus.
I dont know maybe its just because its the industry that is about getting our attention and all the others are this compeitive
Mazda! Made short films?? About what is likely my next car?? And one is a horror!?! Okay, gotta see those.
I don’t know who this is an ad for but anything pushing proper scientific method gets a thumbs up.
Medication ads in the US are crazy. They make it out to be like it’ll fix your whole life and then theyll be like side effects include nausea, vomiting, rashes, dyspepsia, diarrhea, gender dysphoria, suicidal thoughts and tendencies, ocular hemorrhage, anal leakage, total mana loss, testicular enlargement, vampirism, homicidal behavior, monsterism, spontaneous combustion, hair loss, emo, bubonic plague, Pepsi, diabetes, mummified toenails, gay and dying
Fell asleep listening to a YouTube vid, phone at 96%. Woke up a few hours later to an ad that was just fully a fucking BASEBALL GAME?!?! Phone at 46% skipped the ad and the original video was only 5 minutes in.😑
I really wish more ppl understood that a “military grade” product actually means good-enough, cheap, and mass producible. It’s not like..a sign of being the top of the line by any means
I feel frustrated with targeted ads and binary gender.
I am a demiguy and the ads insult both sides. It’s either Amerikkkan men who beat their wives or women who need to get younger & more beautiful for the pedos.
The ads are always aggressive, mean/stereotypes, or straight up stupid.
I hate ads, but these especially. The one that insults its own audience. There are stupid people out there, and even they get it.
Are there any queer ads? No. Of any flavor! Not here, Pinterest, or otherwise. I hate ads, but I do like inclusion.
Anyone else frustrated?
I keep getting ads for Deepsearch AI and they’re like.
“Find and expose the things your friends want to keep private!”
“We can violate the boundaries of your loved ones!”
“Find out things people who trust you not to pry into their lives don’t want you knowing!”
Fuck deepsearch ai
Anyone else feel hostile towards ads? Like I feel hatred. It’s every two minutes now. An ad for Ashley’s president day sale and I wish the little voice would die. I want the guy buying a couch to get murdered. Zendaya did a smart water ad and I lost respect for her. I hate the ad at the movie theater - I wish coca cola would go bankrupt and die. I want them to be blown up. I want it gone. I want the ad ppl dead.
