‘Financing to Accelerate Talent Acquisition’ - an interesting direction. From what we’ve seen this past year, @snapmaker has been pushing hard to engage with and contribute to consumer 3D printing. This backing should give the company and creators a boost. More competition, more progress.

This is my first go at cutting acrylic with the laser. Quite pleased with the outcome. Not as much smell from the cutting as I thought there would be. This is 3 mm frosted black acrylic. I managed to get four sets out of a sheet with room in the middle to make a transformer for the grandson. :-) I also had to work out how to use ink, scape to make the little loops for the chains. Good brain training :-). Next stop some really fancy plant labels.

Snapmaker 2.0 – Camera capture stopping halfway in capturing laser bed
Recently I had an issue with my Snapmaker camera capture stopping before the entire bed was captured. After some research, the issue was caused by the image size being transmitted. Snapmaker at some point reduced the image size allowed. What this means is the details captured of the laser bed grid is larger than what is allowed to be transmitted. Kinda crazy but there is a work around.

Printed and painted by me. It is my first complex multi piece print. I covered the white parts in reflective powder so that a flash photo will make it glow, but it didn’t work right… Back to the drawing board…..
