YES!! FILMFREAKS. i’m gonna be so normal and not mention romickey once it’ll just be them !!!!

So obsessed with doomed filmfreaks … like Ghostface!Randy is exciting and i love reading about it, but Randy left all alone all over again is so upsetting. obliterate that boys mental health!!!

Cuz he’s obsessed with Sidney for years. Let’s say 16 alllll the way up to college. holy shit!!! And if you’ve never experienced true, real yearning, you lucky bitch. Because it feels like maggots are genuinely eating your insides. My poor boy experiences that because of Sidney for years. And Sid doesn’t even care. Pure, excruciating pain.

But then Randy meets Mickey. And…Well look at the guy. He’s attractive. He’s funny. He gets movies like Randy does. He’s a good debate partner but at the same time agrees on so many things. Randy’s almost immediately obsessed. Nobodies EVER matched his freak like that.

Of course Mickey has downsides, who doesn’t? He gets a little aggressive sometimes, he goes MIA for a few days at a time, he has plenty of money but no job or known close family. He’s a little odd, but it’s okay! Watching Halloween while getting his neck kissed erases all doubts.

And then there’s Ghostface. Again. Randy won’t admit it at first, says it’s a stupid outlier, that it won’t last. Mickey gets upset whenever Randy doubts the masked man, but said he just didn’t want Randy underestimating the danger of the situation and getting hurt.

Of course. That made sense!

Mickey starts staying out late and sleeping in. His libido is higher, he gets worse at hiding his excitement at the gory scenes in movies.

Randy is sure there’s no connection. So what Mickey had a weird red stain on his shoes? Ketchup. It’s most definitely ketchup.

He still gets attacked in that van. Only this time, the universe plays a cruel trick on him. He stays alive. Randy wakes up a few days after the attack. The days before are a blur, he only remembers bits and pieces.

Why is everyone wary of him? Why won’t anyone tell him what happened?

One of the kinder nurses tells him that he babbled while he was drugged up, kept asking for his mouse. for his Mickey. Randy asks what the problem is.

God, imagine the heartbreak?

You’re stuck under the oppressing boot of yearning for years. But finally this boy pulls you out of it. This perfect man, he matches your exact level, he tells you he loves you, he climbs through your window for the effect of it even though he lives across the hall. This sweet, sweet boy killed your friends. He tormented you. Was it ever real? Were the dates real? Was every kiss manufactured? Every touch empty? Every “I love you” a lie?

For a long time Randy is conflicted. He hates Mickey. Hates that he was lied to, hates what he did, hates what he stands for. But oh…Does he love Mickey. He loves the way he would quietly mumble every line to a movie under his breath, the way he would kiss Randy, the way he grinned when he beat Randy in trivia. He loves the man he hates.

Randy never truly recovers. Sure he gets back into society, finishes college, gets a job in the film industry. But it’s never the same. He expects every kind smile to be venomous, every flirty actor to have an ulterior motive. Randy never dated again.

And sometimes, when it’s late and Halloween is playing in the background, he wishes he died in that news van.

okay this came out WAY longer than i expected and isn’t really proofread… but I enjoyed writing it!!! have a good day, anon :) also it occurred to me you might’ve wanted? just randy? not filmfreaks? it’s okay guys ill write more just Randy and his horrible messed up life soon.
