In India, the eclipse begins in the afternoon, but the Moon rises while the eclipse is already underway. Therefore, many regions will see only the later part including the red glow near moonrise.

Across the rest of the world, the Blood Moon will be visible as Earth’s shadow moves across the lunar surface from partial to total phases.
