Sirens
Sirens were made and created by the entity known as to mortals as ItWhoSovereignsGods’ or Sov. Sirens were created by Sov as a way to interact with humans and give It’s own flesh to that of mortals and have a purpose in creating something that would know of It and worship this being in attempts to make it known and bring it forth to the mortal realm.
Image above features Sov’s children, directly from It’s seed, instead of It’s flesh. From Left to right Sindri (Herald), Sphaerus (First born), and Bhranti.
- Both Bhranti and Sindri have the same mother, Deni who is an acolyte to The Veiled Matron.
By doing so, there are various body designs and creations of Sirens, ranging from humanoid looking with feathers, to large birds that mimic human faces. Many were created and have lived for thousands of years and have developed their own society and religion apart from mortals.
The Mournful Choir: The most dedicated to their God, this house is strictly religious and are known to breed a hierarchy of priests to be used and spread their song.
The Wailing Dawn (Temporary name): A Major House that controls much of societal laws and royalty status, one of the oldest that was ever establish.
Whispering Stone (Temporary name): Another Major House that is known to hold and breed for power and military. They work closely with the Wailing Dawn House, a strong bond connection between both houses as they benefit from one another.
Minor Houses: There are smaller clans or houses that are scattered throughout the continent, most have territory/resource/power disputes but typically will disengage with the Wailing Dawn or Whispering Stone houses if they step in.
The Heralds of Silence: A band of Sirens that refuse to revere Sov and try and limit It’s influence. Mainly work with the Night Mother and other deities. Sirens can choose to become a Herald at any point in their life but to do so, they from that point forward and ever after are mute. Their vocals and tongue are cut to refrain from speaking or singing and they cover their faces with ornate masks as they view their mouths as sinful. Those that are born into the Heralds are not given a choice.
