i definitely relate to this one a lot, a lot of adhd medications are appetite suppressants and i noticed when i started taking mine that i had a lot less appetite.
if you take medication and don’t eat as much as you’re used to, it’s always worth keeping track of so long as you keep a healthy perspective on it. for most people the effect isn’t that bad, but you might need to make your nutritional choices more intentionally (focusing on calorically and nutritionally dense food when you are hungry so that you get enough in the day — listen to your cravings, i’ve been crazy for sugar since medicating)
in my case i just started weighing myself every once in a while to make sure i wasn’t losing weight. even if you think you “should” lose weight, losing it due to a medication side effect can be a sign that you’re not getting the nutrients you need, not that you’re getting healthier.

Am I the only one whose noticed this phenomenon of (more recently diagnosed / discovered) neurodivergent people judging others for not doing enough to take care of themselves, pushing themselves past their limits, and only becoming empathetic towards someone elses struggles when they finally can’t do something either? I know learned empathy is a real thing but idk I think we should be striving to teach others niceties asap, so they can also get help during their low moments.
