LIRR Adds Extra Trains, Alcohol Ban for St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Alcohol will be banned on Long Island Rail Road trains for 24 hours starting Tuesday at 5 a.m., the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said Monday.
 The ban applies to all  LIRR and Metro-North trains and stations.

the best part of owning a label maker is being able to print out stupid stickers on the fly. my coworker was assigned to the MTA’s field office for a few weeks and she very much disliked it, so i decided to print out the “award” sticker for her and she slapped her knees laughing

A thing about Tansy is she tries so hard to be kind and helpful because she had a really terrible journey to get to where she is. And she loves people who are broken and problematic and monstrous, and spends a lot of time defending her choices to treat these people with kindness and empathy and respect their humanity.

And this means that sometimes people think she needs to be talked into more extreme situations at which point Tansy has to explain that actually really loves violence and destruction and rampant property damage and once murdered a guy with a hat.

Why do electric cars make that awful sound that’s like the whirring screams of the souls Elon musk has tortured. Like I love environmentalism but I hate electric cars. The solution is that everywhere needs to made a walkable city and we need a world wide network of of trains and subway lines akin to nyc. May the MTA devour us All.

Man I love the MTA and by extension the NYC subway but sometimes the specific local train from the local track that you use will just decide to skip about nine stops with no warning
