Omg I always love answering questions about my OC’s!! (Sorry I didn’t see this sooner and it’s been sitting there for a while).
Funny thing is, the events of the last few sessions have been a continuation of Raine’s situation so it’s actually fitting to answer now.
So Raine’s main vengeance schtick is about avenging his sister whom he thought was killed by a criminal organization. Very early on in the campaign he went and got the name of the four ‘lords’ (crime bosses) who killed his sister tattooed on his arm as a kind of hit list for vengeance. The tattoo is magical and can do a bunch of damage particularly against these 4.
LO AND BEHOLD, we found out a few months ago that one of these lords (titled The Saber) is none other than Raine’s dead sister, because she’s actually not dead she just made him believe she is. She also refuses to believe that Raine himself is alive and has come to this ‘Cluster’ wormhole with her, so she tried to kill us calling Raine an imposter.
We’ve been trying to find ways to communicate with her without getting killed for a while, and eventually in that session we decided to just go confront her and give her info about the other lord’s actually trying to betray her. Much transpired, lots of heartbreaking stuff, tears included… I won’t go into details I already said a lot. BUT, here’s the kicker… you know that tattoo I mentioned? Well, when Raine told his sister to her face that he would never kill her, oath or not, the tattoo started burning his skin. Agonizing level of pain. The closer he stands to his sister the worst it hurts!
I had absolutely no way of knowing the tattoo would do that and it shocked the heck out of me, it also means that he can’t be close to his sister rn even if he wanted to. Every second of it is painful. Theres also the more painful implication, the elephant in the room… breaking his oath.
The oath was taken to avenge his sister, but in his vengeance he named the Saber, and his sister is the Saber now… he inadvertently made killing her part of his oath… we’re in the trenches…

Not while fighting, because magical hair flowing in the wind a little like he’s underwater is canon. However, it was an issue when we had to go into the sewers, and when we had to go through a mountain that was invaded by gore of meat all around us (we basically bathed in blood a few times).
Knowing that we were gonna go through all that though he decided to braid his hair to keep it tame (with the help of our monk Keith). Then covered it with his helmet.

FEATURES
- Added a new biome that replaces the Alpine: the MESA. The MESA will be present in every run for the next week - after which future maps will rotate randomly between the Mesa and Alpine.
- 10 new badges to collect! - New cosmetics as rewards for badges!
- Several new items were added! (And a couple more we won’t tell you about!):
- Balloons
- Scout Cannon
- Parasol
- Sunscreen
- Aloe Vera
- Dynamite
- There may be a surprise waiting for you in The Kiln…
OPTIONS
- There is now a “Bug Phobia Mode” option for players who don’t want to see arachnids and other creepy crawlies because, you guessed it, the Mesa has some of those.
- The Settings menu is now navigable via controller. Finally!
BALANCE
- The fog rises slightly slower in the Tropics.
- The Heat status will now decay faster, but it will take a bit longer to start decaying, and the hot rocks in the Caldera will inflict more Heat on you.
BUGFIXES
- Improved performance across the board on the mountain.
- Fixed an issue where players could teleport after a rusty piton they were hanging onto breaks.
- Fixed players sometimes obtaining the Naturalist Badge despite eating packaged food.
- Prevented players from interacting with their backpack while passed out.
- Adjusted luggage collision to prevent players from getting their legs stuck in it
- Fixed an issue where the Bugle of Friendship would still play its audio and visual effects when out of juice.
- Fixed an issue where biome-specific loot could sometimes show up in luggage in the wrong biome.
Alongside the MESA update, we’re also doing a Quest together with Discord!

FUTURE CONTENT UPDATES:
A lot of you are asking about future updates and to be as honest as possible - we aren’t quite sure yet! We don’t want to promise a bunch of stuff and not deliver. BUT we will continue to update the community on what we’re cooking as soon as we can. At this stage, keep expecting bug + stability patches for now!

Content Warning coming to PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and Switch in 2026 - Gematsu
Landfall will release four-player cooperative horror game Content Warning for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and Switch in 2026, the developer announced. It is currently unclear whether PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are planned.
Content Warning first launched for PC via Steam on April 1, 2024, where it was free for 24 hours, but still sold over 2.2 million copies. Over 8.8 million players own the game.
