The 2026 RTX 3060 Comeback

NVIDIA is officially bringing back the RTX 3060 in 2026—and it’s not for nostalgia. In a wild twist for the GPU market, reports confirm that production of the fan-favorite 3060 is restarting this March. But why revive an “old” card when the RTX 50-series is already here? The answer lies in a global supply chain squeezed dry by the AI boom.

Because the 3060 uses older manufacturing nodes and GDDR6 memory, it avoids the massive bottlenecks currently hitting high-end chips. We’re diving into whether this card is actually a “smart buy” for 1080p gamers today, how it stacks up against the RTX 5060, and what this comeback says about the rising cost of PC gaming. If you’re looking for a GPU under $200, this might be the most important hardware news of the year.
