Levi and Phaera consider themselves content, enjoying their time wooing each other, as well as half the neighbourhood between them.
Unfortunately, no strings bliss cannot last forever, and late one night one of Levi’s recent ‘relations’, Pasha, turns up uninvited to let Levi know that she’s found out she’s pregnant, and he’s the father.
Distracted by the news, when Levi returns from work the next day to find a lightning struck tree on fire, rather than call his brother Hunter at the fire department he tries to extinguish the blaze himself and is quickly overwhelmed by the flames.
By sheer luck, Ruth had been passing to drop in on the couple, and rushes to Levi’s rescue, extinguishing the flames mere moments before Levi would have lost his life.
Wanting to thank Ruth for saving him, Phaera invites her family over for dinner. Everything was going well until Pasha once again turned up to speak with Levi.
Losing his last bit of patience, Levi took Pasha outside and ordered her to leave his property, ensuring her he wanted nothing more to do with her or her child.
Dejected and alone, Pasha heads home to prepare herself for her future as a single mother. Thanks to the help of some friends in the city, she had managed to find a small home in Lumelia that would be suitable for her and her child, and she hoped that perhaps one day Levi would reconsider knowing them.
