One of my biggest frustrations with my black people, is the fact that we have endured some of the most horrific treatment, discrimination, and oppression from others throughout history, and still today, yet we still have millions who are quick to hate, discriminate, and kill one another.
We look for reasons to hate, discriminate, and separate from our own people! If you disagree, think about gangs killing over colors or city property they will never own. Think about cats that are light or dark skin and think they are better than the next black person because of it. Think about how many of us frown upon seeing blacks with their natural kinky hair instead of rocking a perm or weave. Think about black fraternities and sororities that don’t get along simply because they are from different chapters. Think about how many of you criticize really ethnic sounding names. Think about how many are quick to misuse and take advantage of our people when they have more than us. The things I mentioned definitely do not apply to all, but they do apply to many.
My point to this post is, given everything we have been through, and still struggle with as a race today, we should never have the thought of hurting one another in any way, shape, or form. After all, at the rate we are being killed by police, and by our own people, we are quickly becoming an endangered species.
