Enmu humming Silent Night while cuddling a sleepy Douma, who’s never felt safer
This is both the worst and best thing I have ever drawn
(I fucking love the image I based this off of)

Douma: *slumped over a table with a cup of blood in hand* man, what a night…
Enmu: sweetheart it’s only 10pm

Destress art.
Forever in love with declawed Enmew. Forever in love with fluffy maxxing Dounya. Meow meow meow. Meow.
Good day to you.

A little Lotus Dreams doodle that I drew this past friday, really liked how it turned out snuggly like I’ve meant it to.

He wasn’t supposed to care about a warm fairy, but truthfully, Douma wanted anything that would pay attention to him. And when it stroked him like a pet and told him what he wanted to hear, he didn’t much care for the things it wanted from him in turn.
Muzan never lets the upper and lower moons interact because he knows that if he did Douma and Enmu would be too busy doing gay shit to look for the blue spider lily

✦ Another Lotus Dreams/EnDouma for you all. You guys practically liked the last art I made of them to death. THANK YOU♡!
《 ✦ This was a redraw of an old art of the two of them and I really like how it improved. 》
Close-Up below the Cut

✦ A soft little doodle of them together that I drew a while ago.
《 Maybe I clean it up someday.》
✦ I do not care that they’ve never met in canon,Lotus Dreams/EnDouma is my lifeblood.

This is the perfect song for a certain fanfic I’m currently obsessed with *cough cough* Kizuki Eye *cough cough*
Heartache Every Moment has always been one of my favourite HIM songs and it currently feels like the perfect EnDouma song bc those two are too perfect together 🥰
In a modern!AU I totally picture Enmu and Douma being a Smosh-esque YouTuber duo with Akaza and other demons frequently cameoing in their videos, it would be total chaos and I’d love every second of it
OH GOD. It’s more of a meet ugly than a meet cute. You need some background knowledge as well so here we fucking go.
Also CW for murder, arson, suicide ideation, assault, and kidnapping. 😭 I wanted to keep the heaviness of KNY while also the fantastical batshittery of the KimeGaku comics (just more down to earth).
Basically.
Enmu’s a university student for psyche to try and fix himself and make his own path separate from his mother’s business in clothing design, but his mental health issues reflect his canon troubles as a human mentioned in the kny fanbooks. (Such as problems differentiating dreams from reality which got him into trouble, though in my modern au I extend this to other issues such as chronic insomnia spells that lead to severe sleep deprivation symptoms such as delusions, microsleep, and hallucinations.)
When he starts failing his classes and taking entirely too long to complete his degree, he panics that his mother is right about him being too mentally disturbed to achieve anything in life. So he accepts a teacher’s offer for a sexual relationship in exchange for passing grades in his classes. This quickly gets out of hand and the instructor knows he can push for more and more extreme things because of Enmu’s desperation, so Enmu finally snaps and exposes the relationship for some sense of control back to his life. His mother helps him pay for the legal fees to file for assault and to hopefully get the teacher’s teaching license revoked, but the teacher (who is married) panics and counter files a lawsuit against Enmu for defamation.
Unlike America where defamation requires information be knowingly untrue to count as defamation, Japan does not require this. Defamation is about the damages to someone’s reputation. And since Enmu went to a very high end university, there is a lot on the line for his instructor’s image. The shame of Enmu’s mother (Bo) knowing what he’d done was too much, so he agreed to drop the charges if his instructor dropped his.
While Enmu was still deciding if he wanted to give up on the charges or not, he was already at his lowest. He was going to call it quits and jump off of a bridge, but Douma, who was a stranger to him at that point, stopped him and brought him to his apartment. They exchanged numbers (reluctantly on Enmu’s part) and Douma checked in on him every once in a while only to find Enmu was always closed. Even after helping him.
They stopped talking again when Enmu tried to fight the lawsuit a while longer, but Enmu ultimately gave up. Douma didn’t know about how serious any of his problems were until he saw his face in the paper for how high profile the lawsuit was in relation to the university. A sensationalist headline like “Student Drops Charges Against Prolific Instructor. Mommy’s Money Saves him Again.” So he reached out again. Especially since Douma’s own life had changed quite a lot.
Douma generally sticks around troubled people because they’re less likely to care about his own past. He was part of a neo-religious cult that was raided when he was a teenager. He managed to escape and fend for himself, but this also means that he was never a recognized citizen of Japan. He was born into the cult, became their prayer object, and his birth was unreported to the government. He didn’t want to bother with being interrogated or imprisoned, since he was definitely responsible for the deaths of a few people within the cult even if it wasn’t really his choice.
He managed to scrape by with under the table jobs and eventually rented an apartment from a landlord that didn’t give a fuck to investigate him. He sort of stayed in this cycle of just living but never really feeling much of anything. Douma met Enmu when he was in his early 30s and Enmu was around 26-28, but they didn’t really connect to each other until a year later. Before this, Douma had been chatting online with Ume (14) and Gyutaro (16), who had a bad situation with their biological parents that reminded him of his own situation. So he kept tabs on them too (Douma has something of a savior complex and struggles with knowing appropriate boundaries when it comes to other people’s problems).
Ume murdered her parents and set her own house on fire to escape the abuse but also suffered severe burns as a result since it was an older building and more out on the countryside away from major cities. Gyutaro assisted her crimes and didn’t know who else to call for help, so he called Douma. Douma basically kidnapped them and took them to a different prefecture to start over. He forged some legal papers for them to still go to school, but knows they can be taken away from him any day if he’s not careful. By the time he met Enmu, Ume was 16 and Gyutaro was 18. Gyutaro would be legally considered a roommate, so he’s less worried about him than he is Ume. Given they both have delinquient tendencies, he’s very terrified of their crimes being investigated and them being taken away.
Douma was able to avoid taking Ume to the hospital after the murder arson by asking a friend (Akaza) for a favor since Akaza used to be a med student before he gave up and dropped out. (Akaza and Hakuji are separate people in this AU. Akaza is the older brother, Hakuji the younger and more successful of them.) Douma has done him countless favors so Akaza came over and became “Unky ‘Kaza” to the kids ever since.
When Enmu and Douma reconnect officially again, Enmu has dropped out of university and isolated himself in his apartment to avoid his mother’s image for what would fix his life. And Douma was trying to reconnect to resolve his loneliness in raising the Shabanas (a fake last name for their documents). Since he doesn’t have many adult friends he can trust, and Enmu is far from a snitch given his own circumstances.
