Don’t believe everything you read—or everything you hear. Unverified but plausible-sounding rumors have been the basis for violent death and destruction throughout history, whether or not the stories had anything to do with the truth.
“
1. King Louis XV Kidnapping Children
1750 Paris panicked over missing children.
Rumor: the king was a leper bathing in children’s blood.
Reality: police were over arresting kids under new street cleaning laws.
2. London’s “Doomsday” Earthquake (1761)
After two small quakes, a psychic’s prediction caused mass fear.
People fled the city; one soldier went mad from panic.
3. Jews Poisoning Wells (14th Century)
During the Black Plague, false rumors led to massacres and expulsions.
Thousands of Jews were killed based on pure myth.
4. Brigands Terrorizing France (1789)
Pre Revolution anxiety fueled rumors of roaming robbers.
Towns formed militias; one “brigand sighting” turned out to be cattle.
5. German-Americans Plotting Attacks on Canada (WWI)
Rumors claimed 80,000 German-American fighters were preparing an invasion.
Canada investigated—found zero evidence.
6. Indonesian Government “Head Hunters”
Rumors in the 1930s–1980s claimed officials needed human heads for construction stability.
People hid indoors; no such practice existed.
7. Aphrodisiac Gum in the Middle East (1990s)
Claims that Israeli agents distributed sex drugged gum to corrupt youth.
Shops were raided; no tainted gum was ever found.
8. Sorcerers in East Java (1998)
Rumors of sorcery led villagers to kill accused “sorcerers.”
Accusations were entirely based on gossip.
9. Fake Tweet About Obama Injured in Explosion (2013)
A hacked Associated Press Twitter account claimed the White House was attacked.
Stock market briefly lost $130 billion before recovering.
RUMOR: Iran poses an imminent threat to the homeland of America (White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt finally admitted it wasn’t true)
REALITY: America attacked Iran, and now the US IS ON HIGH ALERT

On the 1950’s game show “Truth or Consequences,” contestants were asked a question and then had to quickly reply. If they were wrong, there was a ‘consequence’ and in the comedy farce that was the hallmark of the show, if they also mocked in jest the host AND the question, there was an even bigger consequence to pay. ;-)
While life is not a game show, there are serious questions that we face on how we live and answer the questions of our lives by our thoughts, words, and deeds. However there are some that mock questions about what is presented as 'truth’ as outdated superstitious teachings that are not applicable to these times or their lives and see no valid reason for ANY consequences for their actions.
If that’s you, Fair Enough.
On the other hand as today’s verse implores us IF today’s Bible verse is true then Don’t mislead yourself into thinking that there aren’t any consequences for not answering to truth. Sure! You can disagree — but consider this…
Life is a great journey, and along life’s path we all come to terms about what we choose to believe is true or not true. The Bible says that Jesus Christ is TRUTH and His desire is for No ONE to have a CONSEQUENCE! If so, this gets down to a few possibly - maybe even uncomfortable - questions and that is: Do you believe that Jesus Christ is…
The (only) WAY
The (only) TRUTH (and)
The (only way to eternal) LIFE?
So friend, is there really ONLY One TRUTH? And are there really any CONSEQUENCES?
It is always your choice what you choose to believe.
What is your answer?
God Bless Your Day
Jesus Loves You

Is the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran nearing its conclusion? Addressing its potential economic repercussions necessitates a response to this inquiry. However, its resolution hinges upon the replies to two…
… he’d gotten drunk and said something that he was having a hard time taking back. Not because he’d meant it or not meant it, but because he’d said it to someone whose feelings were so badly hurt by it that they’d gone off grid and weren’t answering any form of communication.
Brandon Taylor, from Minor Black Figures
PERCEPTION: An ocean of sirens pulls your consciousness from the abyss. You slowly become more aware of the crumpled cage that surrounds you. Rusted steel, beige leather scraps, cigarette butts, shattered glass.
DRAMA: Seems like an apt metaphor for how things have been going lately.
PAIN THRESHOLD: Searing pain flushes throughout the lower portion of your body; you feel as if someone is pouring liquid metal directly onto expose nerve endings. Even with the pills, this would be excruciating. Those wore off several hours ago.

Im in a relationship for two months now and at the end of a month i have 0 € on my bank account

The problem i find is i agreed that man should pax for everything and i still do but i cant just keep this up. I think, in public i will pay for everything but i dobt think i have to buy everything for her at home, including meat and ciigarettes . I consider my good boyfriend and now im afraid to tell her whats the problem cuz she told me once i would never be with a poor person. This situation where i have 0€ is stressing me out.
Lmao, time to create an actual budget and do some introspection on your bigoted views and break those down, isn’t it?
The Weight of the “Undo” Button
Traffic nanaman kasi. It’s in these long, slow moments that your mind just starts to wander. I wanted to write this down, old-school blogging style, just to get it out of my head.
Lately, my feed has been full of the fallout between Chezka Carandang, Kath, and Clare Inso. We’ve watched the journey—the heartbreak of 2025, the finding of oneself, and eventually, the calling off of an engagement. Now, the “ship has sailed” for a new couple, and while there’s so much kilig online because two hearts are finally happy, I can’t help but look at the one left behind.
I saw a post of Clare Inso recently. She’s smiling, focusing on her business, doing everything possible not to look like the “kawawa” ex. But eyes don’t lie. Looking at her, I felt this heavy realization: “replaceable” ka pala talaga, no?
Don’t get me wrong—I’m not saying cheating or making mistakes is okay. Maybe this is just the weight of consequences. But I still feel a pang of sympathy.
Kung ako siya, I don’t know how I’d survive the pain. The hardest part is the realization that wala kang karapatan masaktan kasi ikaw ang may kasalanan. You just have to suck it all up. You have to learn from your mistakes and carry that weight for the rest of your life.
It’s a painful reality. With just one mistake, you can’t undo what has been done. The worst part isn’t just the loss—it’s knowing you hurt the person you loved the most. You’re happy that they are happy now, but it stings because you’re forced to realize that happiness no longer includes you.
It’s a quiet kind of sad.
Yun lang. [ Currently Listening To: Ang Pag-ibig - Kanibalismo ]

22 While Israel was living in that region, Reuben went in and slept with his father’s concubine Bilhah, and Israel heard of it.
Jacob had twelve sons:

She was older, heavy, with hair that was greying and she walked slowly with a cane. But when a young ruffian came up and tried to be an ass toward her, the individual found that cane could still be quite an effective, painful, deterrent. No one mocked her ever again. – Anon Guest
Birron was old enough to know better. Many grownups told him that. But he also wanted to fit in with the awesome, older kids. He was willing to do anything to get them to let him into their gang. He’d noticed that they laughed and murmured about Old Lady Rollypoly. None of them knew her name, but they knew that she was plump, old, and weird. That was reason enough to laugh.
Birron decided to run off with the huge bag she always had slung over one shoulder. It was always slipping and making her stop and readjust it so she could waddle on for a few more feet. All so it would happen again. All he needed was the right timing and a good run up.
The strap fell off her shoulder and onto her elbow. He took off, grabbing it off her arm as he passed. “Can’t catch me, Rollypoly!”

When the United States and Israel attacked Iran on February 28, 2026, that moment alone should have been shocking enough. But then word started coming out that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was reportedly killed in the assault. If that’s true — and given what we’re seeing from multiple sources, there’s no reason to dismiss it — then that isn’t just escalation. That’s war. Full…

Definition:
There is a common phrase, that “actions have consequences”. This phrase is used to justify taking retribution against someone who has done something that is perceived as wrong.
Retribution might take the form of avoiding that person, not communicating with them, not forgiving them, hating them, ceasing to care about them, or actively harming the person.
When someone is hurt, it is…
