Strategy often fails not because power is lacking, but because the analogy guiding it is wrong. Treating Iran like Venezuela — assuming sustained pressure will fracture elites and produce a compliant successor — is a dangerous misread. Iran’s authority rests on dense clerical, security, and ideological institutions, as well as a civilizational legitimacy that survives leadership shocks. Policymakers should stop applying convenient historical templates and instead interrogate the deeper institutional and cultural forces that actually sustain regimes.

The Evolution of Sacred Texts Across Civilizations: From Oral Tradition to Canon

Long before ink touched parchment, before presses stamped pages by the thousands, before shelves held leather-bound volumes that felt permanent, sacred texts lived in breath. They moved in the rhythm of voice and memory. When people search the evolution of sacred texts across civilizations, they are often looking for a timeline. What they discover instead is something more human: preservation.…

You are an animal and in fact, just 1 type out of thousands of not millions and it’s kind of weird that you’d think that being an animal is shameful when humans do the same things that every other species does. Yeah, humans have created a million different systems and codes to live by and have gone to space and created weapons to destroy other populations but idk if that makes it’s better than other animals. Different species have languages, learned to use tools, mourn their dead, gone to war, perform rituals, live monogamously with life long partners, clean themselves, do drugs, pass down traditions, and have abortions too. They get depressed and have memory and trauma too.

Humans aren’t that special.

JOIN US FOR AN ANCIENT EXPEDITION ON AN UPCOMING TOUR

By Derek Olson

This would surely would be front page news from one end of the planet to the other! Yet news that a 10,000 year-old mummy was unearthed in America has…

ya know that is wild, the notion proven by history that the bigger and more crowded cities get the more likely there would be that pre-made junk food that could be purchased for shops dedicated to it would be a thing

junk food as just… a fact of busy city life across time and civilizations

The Story of Civilizations Through Historical Maps.

From the shifting sands of Mesopotamia to the marble cities of Rome, every civilization has left its mark not only on the earth but also on the maps that tell their stories.

Historical maps are more than faded drawings on parchment — they are windows into the ambitions, fears, and dreams of humankind.

Each line, each border, reflects a story of power, exploration, and change.

In the ancient world, maps were sacred tools, guiding traders across deserts, sailors across uncharted seas, and empires toward conquest.

The Babylonian world map, carved in clay over 2,500 years ago, placed Babylon at the center of the universe — a symbol of how civilizations once viewed themselves as the heart of creation.

Nice, somehow a little bit powerful, but there’s a lot of stupidity in it, contains things what i can agree with.

I’m pretty sure, there are other civilizations thriving in peace, science, arts, nature, and pleasures. And they’re not empty.

BREAKING: 4,000-Year-Old 3D Mural Discovered in Peru

Lock in the super early bird rate now

Archaeologists have uncovered a unique polychrome mural at Huaca Yolanda in Peru’s La Libertad region, estimated to date from 3,000 to 4,000 years ago.

Measuring approx 20 ft long, the mural was found within a U-shaped temple, an area possibly dedicated to water and fertility rituals.

What makes this discovery extraordinary is its three-dimensional…

This “survival of the fittest/everyone for themselves” bullshit is exactly what causes literally every sinlge failed civilization to collapse and I just cannot believe I’m in a country where we’re activley fucking failing to continue civilization.

Failing to care for each other and about other people or even YOUR OWN FUCKING OLD MAN FUTURE is going to FUCKING KILL US ALL and I just don’t understand why our ancestors understood more about shared responsibility and collateral than WE DO RIGHT NOW

Its pissing me off so much HOLY SHIT
