This might be a hot take, but I think white Americans do have a culture. The reason why they do not recognize it is for two reasons:
1 it’s everywhere
2 (probably the main reason): they haven’t had to fight for it the same way black Americans did. Since the War of Independence, they pretty much never had to worry about their identity being stolen or suppressed. They would later end up doing all the suppressing, to the point of racializing white immigrants and forcing them into assimilation.
While, yes, white Americans are indeed disconnected from the traditions of their ancestors, that doesn’t mean that they didn’t develop their own identity and heritage. The difference is, however, that white Americans pretty much kept stepping on the rake that they placed before themselves (the rake in question being assimilation) as this rake would hit them in the face. So basically, it’s like someone making the dumb choice of throwing away their pencils and then having to resort to whatever they can find the moment they get the itch to draw (when they could have easily kept the damn pencils).
That’s not to say they never plagiarized from other groups, they absolutely did *cough* rock music *cough* But to say that they do not have heritage of their own would be a complete oversight at best and ignorant at worst.

Sinners is a truly remarkable movie, with Ryan Coogler cashing in his franchise filmmaking credit to tell a unique story that depicts people and politics that conservatives around the world would like us to believe are culturally irrelevant; but which have conversely dominated at box offices and award galas.
