of course! i love discussing lots of topics especially my specific interests *cough*
i sincerely believe that it’s harder for humans to deal with than it is for androids. humans sometimes struggle with the concept of aging. what’s more, seeing your android partner retain their eternal youth reminds us that one day it will all be over. it also reminds us that the being you love is still just a line of code and algorithms, that the individual you love is not part of the same world. i think that would be the biggest challenge in this type of hybrid relationship.
we could, of course, imagine that as androids become more advanced over the years, now that they are considered beings in their own right, they will incorporate a system of skin aging, hair whitening, something that can imitate aging as closely as possible.
but all of this remains synthetic, and i think that from the android’s point of view, continuing to live forever while being forced to say goodbye to the human they cherish most must be an equally painful feeling.
ALTChapter twelve of Synthetic Agency is here!
The feels continue…
Synthetic Agency is an android romance novel I’m serialising on my Patreon. You can read the first chapter for free.
AI is bad, yes.
Anyways, here are my favourite androids from fiction:

(DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT SUPPORT FOR AI, I JUST THINK ANDROIDS ARE THE MOST RELATABLE CHARACTERS IN GAMES/SHOWS!!!)
So far, several airlines support the new Find Hub feature, including AJet, Air India, China Airlines, Saudia Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, Turkish Airlines, and the Lufthansa Group, which owns Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Swiss International Air Lines. Google says more airlines, such as Qantas, will accept Find Hub links in the future. When asked whether US-based…
Google is bringing a new desktop mode to its Pixel phones and tablets. The feature comes as part of Google’s March Pixel drop, allowing users with a Pixel 8 and newer to connect their device to an external monitor via USB-C for a “desktop-like multi-window experience.”
You can use a mouse and keyboard with the new desktop mode, which also works with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and the Pixel 10 Pro…

Legitimate question, while the idea of equal pay is of course the correct one, how would we reconcile that in a sci fi scenario with sentient androids? They do not have the living requirements that humans do, they do not have to pay for food or healthcare, so it could be reasoned they do not need as much money. Then you could also reason that the same could apply to anyone, in the respect that every individual or family has different financial needs. A family of 5 depending on one paycheck versus a single person on the same, and yet they should be paid the same of course, otherwise it’s preferential.

Verify your humanity at the entrance.” In Velocity, the world’s safest artificial city, crime seems non-existent and technology controls every aspect of daily life. Yet when a renowned scientist is found murdered under strange circumstances, even this perfect utopia begins to falter. Akira Tsukino, an American police lieutenant accustomed to the field, is sent urgently to the experimental island to investigate. Alongside Hank Anderson and the android Connor, she must navigate a complex web of secrets, androids, and mysteries, where every move is monitored and the future may prove more dangerous than she ever imagined. In a city where crime seems impossible… some truths are ready to explode.

You wanna see the part two with an entire department swollen and rolling so freaking bad don’t you? Tisk-tisk, that’s against all the protocols..
I always get a kick out of androids with penises being described as “fully functional” because there are so many unexamined teleological assumptions in play re: exactly which functions qualify. Some day I’m going to write a story where a bepenised android is described in passing as “fully functional”, then twenty chapters later some looming disaster is narrowly averted by the fact that the android can piss.
making fun of transformers fanfiction when i was 15 years old has really come back around to bite me in the ass as I enter into my freaky robot era

Blue felt melancholy that day and struggled to focus, the world around her seeming little more than a haze…
Research note 23: It seems that exposure to the elements and lack of access to new batteries had a negative effect on the subject–the joints, especially those of the hands, had begun to rest as well.
