Ouch my hand

Remade the character because now I can work better on PC, also, I’m going to try and move away from texturing in pixel art, because even though I love the style it takes too much time to get it right, and texturing like this saves me time.
This is probably a solo developer issue, but I need to constantly be checking myself and repeating “Macro to micro” because I got stuck on this one house because it’s more shareable, but this isn’t real progress and instead I should be focusing on level design and gameplay, later I can revisit those things and make them look pretty.

I ended up remaking the house in crocotile because someone said making the house model and shading and texturing in the mesh wouldn’t be performative, and I was about to remake the same model in block bench because it would make more sense there since the crocotile workflow isn’t what I’m used to.
Now I’m looking at https://noclip.website/ and seeing that the games don’t have many different textures. Now I’m spinning my wheels trying to figure out what I do next.
I’m Back on my PC
The hiatus is not over tho, but better quality updates soon, and I hope more frequent as well
Going on a bit of a hiatus. I hope I can hop back in to this project, I’m loving working on it even with all of the setbacks. This hiatus will take at least a month I need to try to get my life back together before I work on this again
Combat is imminent! been chipping away at it for a while, but so far I got the enemies to display health properly.
Trying out Firefox for Android as my main browser because I’m bit fed up with article suggestions + AI push
Stand up to the ADHD national anthem.
At least talking about my personal experiences with it.
I’ve been thinking about asking for volunteers for this project, since it’s open source, obviously giving wveryone proper credit and making clear that the assets are going to be CC0 if they want to contribute
I’ve bit the bullet and made the animations in engine, the worse part is the lack of mirroring in engine. So this is what the project looks like so far.
Every time you say the word Cesium every Brazilian in a 10km radius starts to sweat profusely
So Godot is great at animating in engine… for 2D, in 3D they ditch the add transforms + rotation + scale to keyframe button. This baffles me, now I’m back to considering making 2D sprites for animating in a 3D game, but I will use the hell out of mixels and rotations and tweening which will instantly kill any pixel art purist in a 10 kilometer radius including myself, but that’s the price I have to pay for making games on android
I give up in animating inside blender for android, I’m doing animations in engine from now on, I’m sorry, I really wanted to share the models on a cool manner but blender got hands and Im not fighting it anymore. I will still model things there but I’m not animating there anymore.

I’ve managed to unbork the rig. there was a bunch of object transforms that werent applied to the mesh, flipped normals and the model was rotated 90 degrees, had to throw away the last ankmation, but this is way better because symmetry works now. Only fixed this because I want to share the model in a workable state without much to fix.
I’ve saved over this animation and made anoter

third time’s the charm I guess

Finally some progress, there’s probably something incredibly wrong with the armature that I need to fix. But I just powered through. This took a whole minute to render.
I guess I flew too close to the sun or something, my model keeps loading wrong on blender now that I added a armature
