To expand on the premise a bit: in my head this Link and Zelda defeated a version of Ganon years ago, but that version was unnaturally long-lived and his reincarnation was born only a couple decades later.

Zelda believes the wise choice is to eliminate the problem early, and avoid future bloodshed.

Link has the courage to believe nobody is born evil, and they can choose to break the cycle.

The player, as Ganon, gains resources kinda like the Spirit Orbs in Breath of the Wild. These can be used to empower the player, or be spent to help people in the world. How much the player chooses to share power with others determines how the game ends.

Even after the so-called ceasefire, their lives are still hanging by a thread. At any moment I am not speaking to Ghada, it is possible that she has no food, no shelter, no safety this is what “after the war” looks like in Gaza.

Think about living with ruins instead of homes, fear instead of stability, and the echo of everything they lost. There’s no “getting used to” that as your constant reality.

So when I ask you to reblog this post, think about the lack of effort it would take to flick your thumb and realize it could still be saving the lives of 14 people, affected by destruction and trauma far beyond what you could possibly imagine on your own.

It’s 2011. Tammy Harris was just an ordinary 17 year old girl. But her mundane midwest life suddenly changes when she gains the powers of a witch through an ancient tome with spirits locked away. Now released, she must gather them with her best friend Sia and a witch named Shirley. They’ll have to battle a mysterious entity that’s sent it’s vampire minions after them to retrieve the spirits and the ancient tome’s power. However, one of those vampires seems quite taken with Tammy, along with another who’s after her heart.

Check out The Three Tomes if you’re interested in the beginning of a story that’s a YA fantasy. A black magical girl at the center and characters of color in a nostalgic early 2000s setting that will take you back to the past. The melodrama, the yearning, the fantasy the romance and adventure is waiting for you.

I never showed off my character designs for Book 2 of Tales Unwritten, so here’s a few of them!

I had a lot of fun conceiving and designing the Fauni cast, I looked for as many different kinds of sheep and goats as possible to take inspiration from. Turns out: there’s a LOT of different kinds of them!

There are very few bigger compliments to me than someone caring enough about something I’ve done to write fanfiction, so thank you haha

Hey, to anyone who enjoys D&D stuff (whether playing or watching podcasts/shows with it)!

I highly recommend “Tales Unwritten” on YouTube!

It’s done with members of the Team Four Star crew (of DBZA fame) and it’s a lot of fun. I’ve watched the whole 1st season (or Book as they’re calling it) they put out and the 2nd season just premiered earlier this week.

Everything is prerecorded and edited to cut out any extraneous talking and so it flows more like a story, so it’s a lot easier for me to follow than other D&D sessions I’ve tried watching. And they also add in art, music, and other neat tidbits to enhance the game and presentation.

Anyway, I hope you check them out and give them some love because this has been a fun series to follow.

Signs of a heart attack are different for each gender yet we only really teach the male warning signs. Make sure you’re aware of both and spread it to as many other women as possible!

EVERY SINGLE TIME I HAVE TAKEN A CPR CLASS I have had to be that person who points out that the training videos ALWAYS frame the “male” symptoms as the default universal heart attack experience, while the “female” symptoms are framed as though they’re a deviation from the norm, rather than the primary symptom set that cis women experience. 

ALSO: I just showed this post to my roommate, who is an MD at a clinic that specializes in care for the LGBT community in the Baltimore area. I asked her  whether hormones were responsible for the difference in the “male/female” symptom arrays. I asked how that would apply to her trans patients (which, she treats a LOT of trans patients). She said, basically, that the longer you’ve taken testosterone the more likely you are to get the intense chest pressure and the arm pain, versus the upper back pressure and shortness of breath.

Obviously I am not a doctor myself, consult your own health care provider, etc.

Reblogging this comment because this is the FIRST TIME I’ve ever seen someone address what XYZ medical condition would look like in trans patients. Also this is partly why my great-grandma died: the (male) doctor dismissed her heart attack as basically indigestion, because she didn’t have the typical male symptoms.

Decided to spend 2 hours putting together a sillier piece of @worldsbeyondpod fanart to offset the terribly sad one I made earlier in the week lol

Yesterday, my mother fractured her arm while trying to get aid. I couldn’t go with her because I’m severely malnourished. She smiled through the pain so we wouldn’t worry, but I could see it all in her eyes — and it broke me.

Before the war, my mother was a kindergarten teacher. Today, she’s forced to push through crowds just to bring us something to eat. I’m not writing this to beg for sympathy — I’m writing because we simply can’t endure this alone anymore.
