to save our dear Princess Styla!
Link: "You’re mistaken…”
Assistant: “Huh? Oh! I get it. That’s a little joke. How cool and spicy of you! Those ears are a dead giveaway… So positively pointy! I must say, they’re rather chic!”
Here’s my website where you can find all the information and my portfolio:
I’m using my fanfiction blog cause it’s like my side blog at the moment I still need to revamp it
Here
A/N: Hi all! Thank you for supporting my silly little fanfics that I love to write. I am currently expanding to Ao3! Most of my fics are still on Wattpad and I usually update new chapters and edits on here. Because I am super inconsistent (work and all that life jazz) I wanted to come back and make a master post of chapters. My TP fanfic is almost done editing with only a few chapters remaining and my SS fanfic is still undergoing chapters being published That being said, I am most likely going to start posting my BOTW one as well. Thanks again for reading and supporting my stories. So, without further ado, here is the chapter master list for “Part of Your Realm”

SHATTER IT! TO PIECES! SHATTER THE MIRROR, JUST LIKE THE HERO HAS SHATTERED YOUR HEART. WITHOUT HESITATION. WITHOUT REMORSE. SHATTER IT AND ITS CONNECTION TO THE LAND OF FILTH.
THE LAND THEY CALL THE REALM OF LIGHT.
The voice’s potency had become insufferable. Any normal thought that managed to break through the surface was quickly snuffed out like a dwindling flame. You stood, clenching the mirror above your head. You couldn’t recall how you grabbed the mirror. Or why Midna sat on the ground, her normally impassive expression overcast with shock. Had you pushed her? Your mind couldn’t register it.
You could register nothing beyond the aching desire to shatter the mirror on the ground. You could feel nothing, beyond the sweet heat of endorphins being released at the fantasy of the glass shards circling your feet. Somewhere beneath the voice’s impervious demands, you did want to apologize to Midna. But the voice had other plans. Besides, this was her own foolish fault. She brought this on herself. Therefore, you owed her no apology.
She’s a comrade of the Hero anyway. A traitor by association.
You rapidly shook your head, as if you were a flea-infested dog that could shake off the flashes of Zant going mad. So, this was what insanity felt like.
Princess Midna. Once a traitor, always a traitor. Lord Zant tried to free us. As his daughter, it is your duty. After all, you aren’t so different. You’ve seen the squalor of the light. Break the mirror, Y/N. Take the throne from Midna and direct the Twili back to their rightful inheritance of power. Then, with the Triforce of Shadow, we shall once again conquer the light.
We shall once again resurrect King Ganondorf to lead us through the dark and into the light.
Triforce of Shadow?!
Your hands quivered; your arms were sore from resisting throwing the mirror to the ground. Inside of you was a force that still fought against the voice of evil.
The force known as love.
If I did this, if I set Ganondorf free… Link would surely have to face him again.
And what if…what if he isn’t as lucky? Should he perish, would it be Ganondorf that is his killer, or would it be I? The one who loves him.
You resist my command? Let me invigorate you with a tale. A Hylian, a beautifully robust creature residing in the light, meets the love of her life one day. Only this man is not of her world. This man, with his scathing eyes of crimson and his pioneering ways. He has no time for a simpleton’s emotion, such as love. He sees the woman as a puppet for his voracious ambition. This man, among many other interlopers, sought to spread his seed among the inhabitants of light. Impregnating them with the dastardly shadows known as Twili. Only these Twili, these half-breeds, were shunned from the light, equivalently like their full-blooded Twili peers. The woman, finding out she was pregnant with the seed of a shadow, was a rare exception for a Hylian. For she still saw her baby as her child. And so, she insisted the man take her to his realm, where they could be without the harsh confinements and judging eyes of the light. Only this man sought to create as many half-breeds as he could. His action was to create a breed of Twili who, rightfully, would belong within both realms to do his bidding. The woman, finding out the man used her for his own egocentric aspiration, took her life. For she not only would lose the child she loved unconditionally but would never know love by the man whom her heart had chosen.
Heartbreak is a powerful weapon. It serves as the greatest motivator in the world. Do you wish to be as foolish as the Hylian? Do you wish to not partake in your right as a half-breed, who could serve dominion over both realms?
What?!
Midna remained on the palace floor where she had been subdued by you not long before; her face had morphed back into an expression of stolid serenity. Her eyes lingered on your fingers and the way they tightly gripped the mirror as your muscles trembled for release. There was a fight taking place within you, the light of Y/N versus the shadow of Y/N.
“Y/N,” Midna called to you, refusing to let the trepidation of the scene in front of her reflect in her tone.
“Shadow and light are two sides of the same coin. One cannot exist without the other.” She elucidated nothing more, nothing less. She finally stood, dusting off her skirt and walking coolly to your side.
“M-Midna, don’t come any closer! I can’t promise that I—” But she ignored your haunted protest, continuing.
“It’s ok to feel your feelings, whether it be jealousy or, through it all, love.”
You stammered, trying to make conversation to hold off your descent into madness. “S-Shadow and light are two sides of the same coin. So, then the Triforce of Shadow…”
She regarded you in that familiar way she would during a lecture, with a slight, intrigued tilt of her head. She lifted her hand up, her head rolling forward to a bow with dignity and acceptance. All at once, her markings pulsed, trickling waves of light radiated down her body like a coursing bioluminescent river. To witness Midna’s markings animate themselves in such a way usually called for exaltation of the highest degree. But you could do nothing more than stand paralyzed as relentless light began to beam from her hand.
NOW! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, FOOL!
As its radiance fizzled, you could make out a recognizable triangular shape. Only this triangle lacked the goddesses’ luscious gold aura. No, this was definitely not of the light, of the sublime goddess. A garish hue of purple frayed into Midna’s flesh, outlining the severity of the shape.
The severity of the truth and where it lies.
Crusted into the back of her hand was the Triforce. Only it wasn’t the legendary Triforce of the Realm of Light. Its pools of squid ink bled into a coalescence of lavender and violet, forming the Triforce of Shadow.
The bottom left triangle within the Triforce continued to blaze on Midna’s hand, demanding you heed its presence at once.
“Y/N, if this Triforce graced the hand of Princess Zelda, you would know it as the Triforce of Wisdom, but that is the Triforce in the Realm of Light.” Midna let out a resentful snort. “This Triforce is the shadow of the one gifted to the inhabitants of light. It embodies the shadow elements of courage, wisdom, and power.”
“The shadow elements of the Triforce…”
She brought the back of her hand up to her lips, each breath airbrushing goosebumps onto her flesh. “I regard Zelda for her tremendous wisdom. In fact, I regard her so much… because I am the shadow wielder of her Triforce. I am not the wielder of wisdom… I am the wielder of folly.”
It wasn’t the remorse in Midna’s gaze, but the scorch on the back of your hand that told you what was going to happen next.
“If light and dark are one in the same, if you and Zelda each wield the perfect opposite of each other’s Triforce…” The back of your hand was now numb, but that wasn’t the reason for the tears that ravaged your eyes
You now knew what the sage had tried to tell you.
The Hero of Twilight has found you. Has found…
“Link…” you gagged, a sob escaping where you thought vomit might. You would never be able to escape Link, even if you broke the mirror.
Because on the back of his hand was the Triforce of courage.
And then there was you, the chosen wielder of fear.
You could shatter the mirror, but you would never be able to shatter your other half.
Or the love you held for him.
Edited: 3/15/26
Well, this is some “shattering” news.
Even the sacred life force, the Triforce, is not without its own shadow. The legacy of the courage, wisdom, and power the goddesses have instilled throughout Hyrule must coexist with their darker counterparts, folly, fear, and impotence.
With every last shred of your sanity on the line, will the realization that you and Link will always be connected by the goddesses’ decree keep your inner shadow at bay?
Or will the “link” to the Realm of Light and your better half be permanently severed by your own burning jealousy and fear of scorching rejection?
