I know many of us (americans/westerners) may have trouble fully understanding what it means to endure genocide. It is so big, so absolutely encompassing, that from our place of relative comfort, it can be hard to even imagine it.

But we need to imagine it. We need to empathize, and help wherever we can.

Enas is a widowed mother with two young children. She has fought and struggled for years to keep her family alive, against mounting odds. And it is getting harder, not easier.

Imagine losing everything so many times over, that it becomes a part of life. Imagine your children weeping from hunger, fear, and exhaustion. Imagine your world being reduced to brutality, with no hope or help but from stangers through a screen.

You are that stranger. You are that hope. If you can help at all, please, please do.

My name is Yasmin. I am a mother of three—a boy and two girls. My eldest son is 12 years old, and my youngest daughter is just two. We live in Gaza 🇵🇸💔

Like so many mothers here, I dreamed of raising my children in peace, giving them love, warmth, and security. But the war has stolen that dream from us time and time again.

Before the war, our life was simple but full of hope. My husband worked whenever he could, and I took care of our home and children. We didn’t own anything luxurious, but we had each other.

Then the bombs started falling.

We lost everything.

Our house was reduced to rubble. My children screamed in terror night after night. We fled with nothing but the clothes on our backs—displaced from north to south, moving from tent to tent, always trying to survive day after day.

We stayed in Khan Younis, then Rafah, and now in the central region—each time we escaped death, but not the pain. My children haven’t known safety for over a year. My son learned to walk on the dirt floor of a tent.

When the ceasefire was announced, we thought it was finally over. We returned to our devastated neighborhood in northern Gaza, hoping to rebuild it. But the hope was short-lived—the occupation expanded the “yellow zone,” and our neighborhood was completely destroyed. Again.

Now, we are displaced again, living in a small tent with no clean water, no food, and no electricity. My husband is unemployed. I have no way to support my children.

I delayed launching this fundraising campaign because I hoped something would change. I didn’t want to ask. But today, I have no choice.

I, Yasmin, am asking for your help. Not just for myself—but for my children, who deserve a future. Who deserve warmth, food, and a safe place to sleep.

Any donation, no matter how small, makes a difference in our lives. Even sharing this message helps it reach those who can give.

Y’know, everyone says Tim found out Dick was robin cuz he saw him do a somersault only one person in the world can do, but like, no one talks about the fact the robin costume is the exact same one as his last performance costume.

(Talk about a massive plot hole 💀💀💀)

I get it doesn’t work with the canon dc timeline(and it’s really cringe), but little Timmy using Gen Z/Alpha language is just too funny to me.

I always imagine, Bruce being Bruce, having a folder somewhere that’s shelved with some benign files that was written to be a guide on how to handle a sidekick and Bruce’s diaries about the Robins but it basically a How to Care for the Robins Guide. Because let’s face it, Bruce couldn’t live in a world where he hadn’t outlined for a plan for his babies.

1. Talkative Robins can compromise stealth and covert surveillances ops. Robins can be soothed with lollipops or hard candy. Ensure that Robin knows that it should be abandoned when and if there is movement.
2. Robins should be held always by their hands when crossing streets and never by their capes when jumping. Though capes are reinforced to hold their weight and more, safety protocols require you to grab them by hand or ankle.
3. Robins sometimes have the habit of being distracted. There is many ways to keep Robin on track: a gentle tap with two fingers on their shoulder or glove works the best. Always remind them of the objective of the mission.
4. Robins are priority. They are first protected in the field if things go awry. If a Robin is injured, it is imperative that you stay with them and get them to safety. You can always find the target again, you cannot replace your Robin.
5. Robins are not permitted to fly with Superman and Wonder Woman, to go running with the Flash or transport via Green Lantern magic without the necessary training. See Article 78, sub-section 346.
6. Robins are expected to maintain cool heads and diplomacy when dealing with the public and law enforcement. It is understandable when Robins get heated in troubled times but Robins need to be reminded sometimes that some words and phrases are not approved. This is actionable through the use of the swear jar or the deployment of Agent A or five minutes detention beneath the cape.
7. Speaking on capes, the use of the Bat’s cape is both an area for Robins to shield themselves against adverse weather, prying eyes and also can be used for misbehaving or emotional Robins.
8. When Robins are faced with gory sights, which you must attempt to prevent by always entering a location firs, it is Batman’s job to avert their gaze or find a way to get them away. Robins can be sent to a secondary location. But it is imperative to sit down afterwards, to discuss and allow them emote fears and feelings.
9. Robins’ needs should be met swiftly. Robins should not consume sugar in any form before patrol. Sugary snacks and energy drinks are prohibited. However, always stock the means of feeding and hydrating your Robin within a mile to mile radius of your location. When Robins are cold, warm them. When they are hungry or thirsty, watch over them as they sate themselves. When they are scared, comfort them. You are nothing without your Robin.
10. Sick and injured Robins will want to go on patrol. They worry about letting you down. Do not let them. They are just kids. Let them rest, stay in with them. Ice cream and some movies wouldn’t hurt. Robins come first.

And I imagine Dick finding it shortly after donning the cowl and spending hours leafing through it, reading the words through tears because Bruce made sure somebody could understand how to keep the magic of Robin alive.

Every night, I ask myself how I will provide food for my children tomorrow…

After attacking Iran, Israel has closed all crossings into Gaza, shutting off humanitarian aid and escalating the dire humanitarian crisis facing Palestinians.

Gaza is under siege, and the price of staples has climbed tremendously. Community kitchens have been forced to close due to lack of supplies, and have been unable to afford to replenish their stocks.

Gaza Soup Kitchen is a grassroots organization that uses money from global donors to feed thousands of people every day. Their most recent campaign was to provide food parcels for Ramadan, and they are going to struggle to keep people fed in the midst of this new, horrifying war.

If you are able to, consider donating money to Gaza Soup Kitchen through their GoFundMe or GiveButter accounts to help stave off hunger in the midst of this chaos.

My kind friends, It’s been more than two months since the crossings were completely closed, and not a single grain of wheat has come through. Prices are unbearable, a bag of flour now exceeds $300, and a kilo of sugar, oil, or vegetables costs over $30, while we have no income, no resources, nothing.

To make things worse, the donations we relied on have almost stopped. Days pass with no support, and sometimes we receive just a few dollars… not enough to buy a loaf of bread. 💔

Today, our only meal was a small plate of vegetable salad and dry bread, not enough for four people and a baby growing inside his mother’s womb.

But the moment that broke me… was when my little boy looked at me with tearful eyes, asking for something else to eat because he doesn’t like the salad. Then he began to cry. He doesn’t understand that we barely managed to get even this tiny amount of food, And me? I could only hide my tears, trying to smile at him while my heart silently collapsed, convincing him to eat because we have nothing else. 🥹

My dear friends, we are on the edge of famine. I’m not asking for much, just enough to feed my child and my family, so we can go to sleep without hunger, and live through one more day. 😓
