Kittypatch is photoblog about the life of our feral rescue cats. It grew from a place to collect my consulting material to a place to share our efforts to rescue the sick and starving cats that took up residence in our yard. My husband and photographer died last year leaving me to manage the menagerie of feral or abandoned rescue cats alone, now 6 inside & 10 out yard cats . No sick days, no holidays, no vacations, no backup! Photography is original.

Sammy and Quinn are a set .. never far apart. Quinn, who is a bit more feral, gets jealous when Sammy cuddles up at nap time and then gets pushy about getting pats, treats and rubs! Cats are so weird! Quinn wants what Sammy has but only while Sammy has it! When Quinn gets pushy, Sammy walks away leaving her to get all the attention she wants. A few strokes and she is off .. following Sammy. Sammy comes back and we start the cycle all over again!! 👁👁🤦

Orlando has had 3 nights of hard freezes, first time in 16 years. I tried everything to lure the cats into the garage which is insulated and has a space heater running. Only George, who is not a feral, came running at top speed when I stood at the open door and called for any interested cats. I chased Grey & Brownie to no avail, not sure they can take this weather at their advanced age but they would not let me catch them. 😬😢😭
