Grim “while chewing some chips”: I bet it was the janitor, what do you think?
Izzy: No, it’s obvious the stepmother did it; the clues point to her.
Grim: The great Grim is never wrong!! It was the janitor!!
Izzy: Are we watching the same movie? !!The stepmother has solid motives for having committed the crime!!
Grim (angry): minion!!, tell your sister she was wrong!!!
Izzy: Reggie, my dear little brother, tell this flea-ridden mangy fellow that I’m..“stops when he sees Reggie looking out the window.”..Reggie, What are you looking at?
Reggie:….
Grim and Izzy exchanged worried glances as they got up from the sofa (not without pausing the movie first) to see what Reggie was watching.
Reggie: You are watching it too, right?
Grim (scared): Myahah!! What is that thing?!!!
Reggie: I have no idea…Izzy?
Izzy: …whatever it is, it’s not good…and it seems to be getting bigger
Reggie: What’s the plan?
Izzy, “without taking her eyes off the window”: You and Grim, try to evacuate all the students you see and take them to a safe place…
Grim: and what are you going to do?
Izzy “turns to look at Grim and crouches down to pat him” : Don’t worry, I’ll go find the others. I’m sure they’ll know what’s going on.
Grim “moves away from Izzy’s touch and frowns”: !!I’m not worried Come on, minion, the great Grim will take care of everything as always!!
After saying that, Grim takes off his pajamas and headband, climbing onto Reggie’s shoulder who walks away from the window.
Reggie: ….Be careful Please
Izzy: you too
The three saw each other for the last time as they left Ramshackle. Izzy flew towards the Botanical garden while Reggie and Grim headed to the main street

Izzy can be seen carefully going down the stairs, leaning against the wall with one hand while the other carries some papers, until she reaches the kitchen where Reggie is cooking.
Izzy: Things have been quiet lately…where are Shriek and Grim?
Reggie: they went to clock town with the others… you remember, right?
Izzy: Ohh…yes, sorry, I think I’m still a little dizzy…
Reggie: So you should go back to bed, what are you doing up?
Izzy: The bird brain needs my help, and don’t worry, I already feel better.
Reggie:….Okey, but try not to overexert yourself.
Izzy: I just have to file some papers, don’t worry!
Reggie just nods as he watches Izzy leave the kitchen, holding onto a wall as soon as he hears the sound of the front door opening and closing. He drops the tray he was holding and lets out a loud, angry sigh as things around him shake.
[[MORE]]Izzy and Reggie didn’t go to the White Rabbit Fest because Izzy was still recovering from the last overblot and Reggie stayed behind to look after her.
After Charles’ overblot, Izzy takes over the jobs that Crowley normally assigns to Charles.(but Izzy, unlike Charles, easily manages to convince Crowley to do at least half of what is technically HIS job)
Izzy isn’t the only one hiding things; let’s just say Reggie is starting to realize things… things he doesn’t like (and that’s reflected in how she sometimes makes everything shake)

Israel “The Last Stylebender” Adesanya on the Jones - Holland Scale:
- Adesanya was not interested in sports during high school; instead he was interested in Japanese anime such as Death Note and the manga series Naruto. Adesanya was bullied during his high school years and attributes his decision to pursue martial arts later in life to the mistreatment he experienced.
- Adesanya was enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Computer Design at the Universal College of Learning in Whanganui.
- After his bout against Paulo Costa, Adesanya’s visible right-breast gynecomastia drummed up controversy due to possible PEDs use, though Adesanya claimed it was due to his usage of marijuana. Adesanya also caused additional controversy by simulating anal sex on the prone Costa at the end of the fight.
- In February 2020, Adesanya came under fire for comments made at the UFC 248 pre-fight press conference, where he said he would make opponent Yoel Romero “crumble like the Twin Towers”, referencing the September 11 attacks. The following day, Adesanya made an apology on his Instagram page, saying “I was simply rambling and my brain worked faster than my mouth in a moment to choose the wrong euphemism. You speak on the mic enough times and you’re bound to miss the mark with some bars. I did on this one and for that I’m sorry. I’ll be more careful in future with my words.”
- Adesanya endorsed a “yes” vote in the 2020 New Zealand cannabis referendum.

- In June 2021, Adesanya advocated tougher penalties against coward punching following the death of his training partner Fau Vake, who died after being punched in the head the previous month.
- On 16 November 2022, Adesanya was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City for the possession of brass knuckles.
- On 19 August 2023, Adesanya was pulled over for drunk driving in central Auckland, New Zealand where he was measured with blood alcohol content of 87mg%. On 10 January 2024, he pleaded guilty and in lieu of a prison sentence, he was fined NZ$1,500 and given a six-month driving suspension. Additionally, after his court appearance he posted videos from inside the court to his social media pages, which is illegal in New Zealand without the permission of the presiding judge. He later removed the posts and released an apology.
- On 1 August 2024, Adesanya made false comments on Twitter in regard to Algerian boxer Imane Khelif’s win at the 2024 Summer Olympics, saying “Men should not be boxing women. lol he couldn’t even finish her. Anyway, people > politics.” He later apologized and said “From now on, I will leave women’s fights to women. I tried to speak up about it and apparently, I got it wrong, a lot of people got it wrong, there was misinformation.”
- On 5 September 2024, Adesanya was involved in a verbal confrontation with an individual after a road rage incident in Auckland, New Zealand, with Adesanya having been caught on video spitting in the direction of the man. In response to the incident, Adesanya expressed his disappointment about the nature of the incident in a statement, alleging that he was racially abused and will be looking to press charges against the individual.
- Before taking up fighting, Adesanya regularly competed in dance competitions across New Zealand.
- Adesanya is a fan of anime and has stated he would like to start an anime production company after retiring from fighting.
- He launched a DJ career in late 2025 as part of his preparation for retirement.

I love the idea of Izzy switching things up for every arc! That Alice outfit pairs so beautifully with her hair! She also takes the crown for Night Raven’s cutest detective! Grim has to content himself with second place.
I’m curious to see her outfits for the next two books too! Octavinelle and Scarabia are definitely some of the snazziest dorms outfit-wise so it’ll be so fun to see which direction Izzy’s clothes go in.

no sorry that post has made me think like
as someone who came from a volatile life situation into my wife’s life, it’s actually so nice to be able to have SAFE unpredictability. like yes i can usually guess what she’s going to do, because i’ve been with her for a decade, but she still surprises me.
but being surprised is no longer a reason for fear or anxiety. now it’s mostly a reason for delight or laughter and i GET it now, i get why people like not knowing things, why they can let go and just face things as they come.
love is healing. love is freeing.
