I don’t know if this is true because I’m not quite done ztd but I need to talk about it before I forget.
This post includes major spoilers about zero time dilemma. Do Not Read if you want to go into zero time dilemma without knowing the identity of zero or how the game hid it.
[[MORE]]Since the zero escape trilogy is a series about choice (among other things) i was curious about how we would control multiple people. At first I brushed off the thought because the closest thing we got to addressing the player was the termite mound talk from the vlr zero (i don’t remember if we were semi-explained in 999), but as I learned Delta/Q team camara man can control people (I literally just watched him make eric kill Everyone - himself and Diana) and it made me think the following:
《oh so since we are delta, and delta can control people that’s how we can make decisions as Carlos/Sean/Diana》
《wait he isn’t always alive. he can and does die. A lot actually》
《but he is alive no matter what in the acid showers and voting time》
《Wait he’s alive no matter what during during the Acid Showers and Voting Time, that’s when you can make a choice and whoever your playing as at the time can be like “i don’t know why i did that, that wasn’t me"》
《But then what happened after Diana melted him》
《Simple she wasn’t being controlled. She never went "why did I do that” zero just came up with an explanation due to his knowledge of everything that can happen in the decision game, all she did was deny his reasoning》
《He fucking controlled all three votes and button pushes》
This game series is so good at making you think about everything after you’re given more context and making it consistant (aside from phi’s brooch) and i just needed to talk about it.

Its been forever since I last played 999 but revisiting it on a whim. I wanted a refresher on the “quintessential” image of the Murder Game Room Escape VN (of which I’ve played many indie and freeware games inspired by it or Danganronpa, but each with their own unique spin). … and while the publishers are running a sale I keep putting off picking out AI Somnium.
… good lord its been about 17 years since 999 came out.

It’s very funny to see my favorite Danganronpa character & my favorite Zero Escape character differ extremely greatly, it’s the most water & oil mixture & adds to why they’re among my favorites in their respective series

Speaking of zero escape and resident evil Mia Winters is like Akane Kurashiki if she only knew half of the weird shit going on and actually entered a relationship with Junpei.
And Ethan Winters is like Junpei if Junpei had a bunch of guns.
And just to make sure my comparisons upset the most people Albert Wesker kinda gives off Delta vibes. :/

Aoi Kurashiki and the very normal relationship to feeding his sister and the spiralling effects of that. This is a vampire AU that is not about vampires, not really.
The last chapters finally out! 6 chapters / 30k spanning Aoi’s life through the years, and his interactions with the two vampires he knows and his immovable belief that everyone deserves to eat, no exceptions.
Or: Aoi Kurashiki’s an awfully willing blood bag.

about the 999 ost and other nonary games changes
ive heard people say that the ds version is superior, but ive never played it or seen gameplay. I know the last puzzle is a sudoku from the memes (I forgot what the nonary versions puzzle was tbh but the solution was slightly annoying.) But i saw a video of the ds versions ost amd thought it’d be familiar and I checked it out , but there were many songs I didn’t recognize. It seemed really cool and extra spooky, a little funky too, but I could only recognize about 4 or 6 songs total. Does the nonary games version have a decreased song count? It did kinda feel like the same few songs sometimes. Or maybe its just canr remember them? But those are such intrestibg songs, why would i forget them??
Id like to know some of the other changes as well (maybe not in full detail but a overview sorta.) . I geuzs I probably should try to play the ds version someday, but even if its a worse version the nonary gamrs version still is very good. Wasnt too big a fan of the eng dub tho. (Vlr’s was good.)
Would it work on 3ds? My dad has one. My old ds broke when I was like 8.
