17 yr old Siegfried Isenstein in a yukata and in a silk young man’s wakaike. Concept art for Moth. Wakashu fashion was phased out during the Meiji period so I had to look at woodblock art for an idea of how the sleeves should be on the right image.

[[MORE]]The fabric was bought by a friend of mine when she last visited her family in Japan. Its surprisingly lightweight and even though it was hot and I was wearing tights and thigh-highs, it still kept me pretty cool and I even got cold later that evening.
The obi is borrowed. They didn’t tell me it was a child’s obi until I went over to their house lmao, so I had to think of an unconventional way to tie it..
And everything else is just accessories I already owned~
This was such a fun memory for me. There’s a lot of people from that day that I would spend the next 15yrs knowing well.
