The public has been warned to remain vigilant when added to Telegram or WhatsApp groups, as they may fall victim to online investment scams promising quick returns. KYC అంటే నో యువర్ కస్టమర్ ప్రాసెస్ పేరుతో జరుగుతున్న మోసం గురించి సామాన్య ప్రజలను రిజర్వ్ బ్యాంక్ మరోసారి హెచ్చరించింది. గతంలో కూడా ఆర్బీఐ ఇలాంటి హెచ్చరికలు ఎన్నో జారీ చేసింది. అయితే మోసాలకు సంబంధించిన ఘటనలు నిరంతరం వెలుగులోకి రావడం, జరిగిన నష్టం గురించి సాధారణ ప్రజలు తెలుసుకోకపోవడం వల్ల ఆర్బీఐ కేవైసీ గురించి మరోసారి అలర్ట్ చేసింది
మోసం ఎలా జరుగుతుంది?
కేవైసీని అప్డేట్ చేసే పేరుతో మోసగాళ్లు ఫోన్, ఎస్ఎంఎస్ లేదా ఇమెయిల్ ద్వారా సంప్రదిస్తారని రిజర్వ్ బ్యాంక్ తన పత్రికా ప్రకటనలో తెలిపింది. దీని తర్వాత వారు వ్యక్తిగత సమాచారం, ఖాతా సంబంధిత వివరాలను పొందడానికి లేదా ఎవరి ఫోన్ లేదా సిస్టమ్ నుండి ఏదైనా అప్లికేషన్ను డౌన్లోడ్ చేసుకోవడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తారు. ఇలాంటి మోసాలకు పాల్పడేందుకు వివిధ రకాల లింక్లను పంపుతుంటారు. వాటిని క్లిక్ చేసినట్లయితే ఇక అంతే సంగతి. సదరు వ్యక్తికి చెందిన బ్యాంకు వివరాలతో పాటు వ్యక్తిగత వివరాలు కూడా వారికి చేరిపోతాయి.
సాధారణంగా ఇటువంటి కాల్లు లేదా సందేశాల కారణంగా సదరు వ్యక్తి భయపడిపోయి వారు పంపిన లింక్లను క్లిక్ చేస్తుంటారు. అలాగే ఫోన్ కాల్స్ చేసి కూడా భయపడేలా చేస్తుంటారు. బ్యాంకులు ఎప్పుడు కూడా కస్టమర్ వివరాలు గానీ, లింక్లు గానీ పంపదని, ఎవరైనా మీ వివరాలు అడిగినా.. మెసేజ్లు పంపినా స్పందించవద్దని ఆర్బీఐ సూచిస్తోంది.
ఒక వ్యక్తికి అలాంటి మోసం జరిగితే, వెంటనే నేషనల్ సైబర్ క్రైమ్ రిపోర్టింగ్ పోర్టల్ www.cybercrime.gov.in కి లేదా సైబర్ క్రైమ్ హెల్ప్లైన్ 1930కి నివేదించాలని రిజర్వ్ బ్యాంక్ సూచించింది . మీరు మీ ఫిర్యాదును కూడా చేయవచ్చు.
మోసం జరగకుండా ఉండాలంటే ఏం చేయాలి?
KYC అప్డేట్కు సంబంధించి ఏదైనా అభ్యర్థన ఉంటే మీ బ్యాంక్ లేదా ఆర్థిక సంస్థను సంప్రదించమని RBI సలహా ఇస్తుంది.
మీ బ్యాంక్ లేదా ఆర్థిక సంస్థ సంప్రదింపు నంబర్ లేదా కస్టమర్ కేర్ నంబర్ గురించి సమాచారాన్ని అధికారిక వెబ్సైట్ లేదా బ్యాంకు అధికారుల నుంచి మాత్రమే పొందాలి.
ఏదైనా సైబర్ మోసం జరిగితే, ఆలస్యం చేయకుండా మీ బ్యాంక్ లేదా ఆర్థిక సంస్థకు నివేదించండి.
KYCని అప్డేట్ చేసే పద్ధతులు, ఆప్షన్ల గురించి సమాచారం కోసం బ్యాంక్ శాఖను సంప్రదించండి.
మీ కార్డ్ వివరాలు, పిన్ లేదా OTP లేదా ఇతర సమాచారాన్ని ఎవరితోనూ ఎప్పుడూ పంచుకోవద్దు
