The more I see people on social media, not here here is glorious chaos, posting their vacations and their trips and I am hit with this thought ‘ugh why would you go THERE??!?’

Like i am so happy I cannot afford that bullshit

I truly don’t understand the concept of spending so much money just to be the same human in a random place where you don’t know the rules or the culture, your whole nervous system gets thrown out of whack, and then on top of the money spent already, everything costs. Because you are a tourist.

I would rather improve my health. Get a start on the backlog of stuff I have been putting off. Hell, i would rather travel for tattooes purely for the logic that artists are fragile wonderful creatures that do their best work within their happy enclosures.

But travel for travels sake??? That is a level of boredom I have never tasted. Unless you are rich or retired you shouldn’t be going on vacations. Blah blah blah poor people deserve vacations too. Yes they do! And they can waste their resources on them all they like! But I would rather be comfy at home, than stressed all the time so I can go eat cheese in Italy. I can eat cheese at home.

Tbh it always feels like vacation people are running away from something. Like they don’t develop their actual home but spend money and time onthis luxury bullshit. It feels like the same people who spend tons of money on beauty and then are unhealthy as shit, and they feel like shit, but they are fake beautiful.
