Hello from the dead week of the year, when all sane people have logged off to spend time with their families. This is when I typically write at least one deeply weird post while I’m working over the holiday. One time I got left alone on New Year’s Day and posted about cats all day and people got very mad! No one let me run the site alone anymore after that.
I’m supposed to give you some inkling…

strongly considering just paying someone to re-type my fan-fiction for me because this is doing my head in >< do i know anyone looking for an odd job? it would involve typing from photos i’d send you of my fan-fiction journal. you’d have to be ok with my handwriting & you’d have to be ok typing occasional smutty parts, & you’d *have* to be discreet & not share my WIPs with anyone
for context: the hard drive of my previous laptop overheated & i lost all my writing files on it. i write most of my first drafts by hand in my fan-fic journals & then type them. it’s a complete pain in the ass that i need to re-type everything, especially since i work full-time, & that’s why i’m lookin for a handy helper
dm me if you’re interested or want to know more! i’d rather go with a mutual but am open to working with someone new, provided we vibe

Legs of a typist who would read a ticker tape and enter the stock prices with a keyboard
(Yale Joel. 1962)
As I was walking into work today there was a tall man with a rolling suitcase standing outside the library and I was like, oh no.
Friends, it was The Typist.
We have not seen him in months. Maybe a year? I’m not sure.
He turns and I, in a surprised tone, manage to say, “Hi!”
He smiles, says hello.
I go inside, desperate to warn the others.
He had to wait outside for another hour because apparently he forgot we open at 10 now instead of 9 like we did pre-covid.

The writer has been gone for over a week for some very OOC, very personal IRL matters that consumed all attention. While back, there’s still likely to be some distraction in the weeks to come. But there are also some good things in the queue:
Planning to have the asks and short done before Sept. 5th, because there are some story ideas percolating from the upcoming patch - and gotta set those up!
No pressure.
My fingertips are hard so when I type there’s a tapping noise as they hit the screen.
