The current Big Three ( In Disney verse ) and their wives ( well former in Hades case )

A centaur, lifting Amphitrite from the sea; next to them, on the right, Cupid; on far right and left, two Tritons, armed with sticks, approaching the couple; in a frieze, imitating bas relief; after Giovanni Battista Cipriani. By Francesco Bartolozzi, 1779. A two tailed triton is on the right side. British Museum.

The Triumph of Poseidon, Pompeo Batoni. 1700s. Via Lempertz. The triton in the foreground is kneeling on his two tails.

Architectural ornament. A cornice and cartouche with a merman. Etching by Jean le Pautre, late 17th century. Victoria and Albert Museum, London.

The letter D decorated with a naiad, two birds and a grotesque figure of an animal. Around 1730, Italy. Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg.

1780-1790. Drawing, Two figures as crests of poles; Designed by Giuseppe Barberi (Italian, 1746–1809); Italy; pen and brown ink, brush and brown wash on off-white laid paper, lined; 22.7 x 14.8 cm (8 15/16 x 5 13/16 in.); Museum purchase through gift of various donors and from Eleanor G. Hewitt Fund; 1938-88-1985. I love how the branches echo the two tailed siren’s usual pose.

Two tailed mermaid, 18th century. Drawing, A Winged Mer Hermaphrodite and Sketches for a Bowl; Italy; brush and brown iron gall ink, red chalk, graphite on off-white laid paper; H x W: 25.3 × 18.2 cm (9 15/16 × 7 3/16 in.); Museum purchase through gift of various donors and from Eleanor G. Hewitt Fund; 1938-88-501. The wings echo the sirens original form as bird women from antiquity.

Two tailed merman, ornamental drawing, 18th—19th century. Italy.
His forlorn face just gets to me. Even his beard looks sad and dejected. At least he has his fish for company— which offer a small optical illusion: his actual tails are draped over the fish, while the fish tail’s arch up in the two-tailed siren’s distinctive pose.
Ornamental Motif; Italy; pen and ink, brush and wash on paper; Museum purchase through gift of various donors and from Eleanor G. Hewitt Fund; 1938-88-520
Tagged by @ogsuicidal to do a picrew! First ever OC on picrew after my dusty ass figured out how to work it. You know I’m going to make somebody fantastical!

This is a Triton. His name is Treskulfas. He dwells in coral reefs that he shapes into cozy underwater abodes. The barb of a harpoon snagged his cheek after an invasive poacher had missed the shot, then retracted it. Said poacher coveted Treskul’s reef horns. But, ultimately failed to take them. Not long after that, Tres moved to a different reef where the salinity in the water differed from the previous locale (hydrothermal vents vary from place to place), and as a result, his skin began to crack during his healing process. He’s just been doing his best under those circumstances ever since. “Sluggin’ wet bandits,” he’d tell you, looking over his shoulder, scratching flakes off his face.

Show me a picrew! ..please.
Triton first appeared in 1965 as a cousin of Black Bolt and the brother of Karnak. Due to his exposure to the Terrigen mists, he underwent a heavy transformation, becoming basically a fishman who can move about quickly and breathe underwater, but cannot live outside of water without a complex breathing apparatus. The extremity of his transformation led his parents to refuse exposure for Karnak, instead sending him to be trained as a martial artist instead.
In an adaptation, Triton would have a natural place as a core part of the Inhumans team, right alongside his brother. The two of them would also serve to demonstrate the complexities of Terrigen mist transformation and the problems that can arise from it, and so they are also necessary for the basic worldbuilding of the story. As for casting, Mike Moh could return. A role like this is also right up Doug Jones’s alley, so he could play him too.

This is Jhannas; he’s from a new dnd campaign I am playing.
I gotta relearn how to draw cause it’s been so long lmao

new dnd campaign im bringing back a super old oc but now hes a triton and also blue
Child Triton: So, I heard Agapetos going to be father. You’re going to be older sister.
Child Kiki: Yes.
Child Triton: Sucks to be you then.
Child Kiki: … Why is that?
Child Triton: It means he’ll love and care you less. I can’t know that of course I’m the youngest and they don’t think another child~ I’d never…
Child Kiki: >:(
*Lapis re-born as Poseidon’s child*
Child Kiki: Look at that we both are older sibling now. :>
Child Triton: … I hate it-
Child Kiki: You’ll suffer with me.
