218 months!
Exciting college stuff is happening. Oliver got a very generous scholarship from Tulane, enough that he may end up closer to home than previously expected. No firm news from any other schools for the other two. But things are moving along.

Stuff I notice at my internship at a bookshop:
1. All the books by Japanese authors most often has a cat on the cover.
It gives me Whisper of the heart vibes (which btw, that movie is called ”If you listen closely” in Swedish so I was so confused what ”Whisper of the heart” was before)
2. If a book series for elementary school kids has twins as the main characters, they are most likely detectives. Here are two examples:
The first one is called ”the twin seekers” and are… well twin detectives. The other one is called ”the circus detectives” and at first I thought they were only siblings but no. They’re twins.
Bonus points if they are fraternal boy and girl twins to appeal to not only one gender. They also have names starting with the same letter. The twin seekers are named Tim and Tina and the circus detectives are named Katinka and Kaspar.
3. There’s also been a rise of books starring triplets. One of these I found was about ”the snow sisters”
They are also princesses! And they have magic abilities! And different hair colors too so that everyone can see themselves! Pick your favorite based on favorite color on their dress and the color + style of their hair!
I also found another book starring triplets, but this one was for toddlers, so they’re like… 2-3 years old doing toddler stuff. One of them looks like Klaus Baudelaire with a bowl cut
I do like that they have different skin tones.
And yes this was the only page of the book where all three of them were visible next to each other because the book cover looks like this
One of the authors of this book also wrote a middle school book series I loved as a kid. I love how he went from writing about preteens right before going into puberty and then 30 years later he writes a potty training toddlers picture book.
4. The type of games they sell. Most notably…
I don’t think I’ve seen KAJ even advertise this.
And like it’s a fun concept but imagine in a few decades how many people will even know about the context behind this? 😂
Oh who am I kidding. They will know. This is gonna be like Diggiloo Diggiley, everyone in Sweden will just know it even if they were born after the song came out (source: Diggiloo Diggiley came out in 1984 and I, born 2002, has it as one of my favorite Swedish songs)
5. I’m in such a fnaf brainrot that I read Henry, Emily and thought about Henry Emily from fnaf. But no. It’s the author Emily Henry.
I’ll update you about more of my observations.

(thats why he’s closer to them and starts ti care about the other 2 when seeing them through the lens of triplets. ie family. andbalso the immediate attachment to his ‘daughter’ iceonix ii: olaf when he has shown no care to anyone else)

No, I didn’t stop taking monthly pics when they became adults. Perish the thought! (But realistically, August will probably be the last one. Sob.)
We went on a little adventure to City Park and the sculpture garden, which is why this month’s pic looks a little different. Thought it would be a waste not to use a pretty setting if we had one available!
