Tuesday - Painting a section of the structure:
Today I chose to paint this photo of the sectioned structure which I took a photo of on my phone. Before I decided to paint, I drew a few thumbnails to plan out which photos that I am going to paint.
Before starting my painting, I attempted to mix the colours of the objects shown in the photograph. It was trial and error mixing the colours, especially since there were a mix of cool and warm tones of colours, and some shadows showing, which meant I had to make a darker shade of the colours with shadows.
Thumbnail Sketches:
Here are some thumbnail sketches that I did in preparation for painting. At first, I was struggling keeping the form basic and focusing on the colour. But this time, I tried not to focus on too much of the detail, and instead focus on the outlines of the objects and the colours and shades.
