When writing becomes a chore… Instead of a hobby. It makes the whole thing worthless in a way.
To fix that 😌😌 (you’re welcome!!) creating posters or a scrapbook based on your work is usually relaxing… Therapeutic even.
So…. I made one based on my current work. This was my first attempt at this.
Here is it ….

And if anyone is interested in my work let me know in the comments 😜
Ciao!!!!🥲😁
Hey there! Lifelong learner here. I have been exploring the world of multi-media, which I’m told is the future. I’ve decided to treat everything I create as a little jewel, worthy of attention. I’m going to catch all the pearls spilling out of my mouth, and use my fingers to dust every keyboard, every electronic device, with sugar and cinnamon.
I’m going to pin my every scribble up on the wall,…

ALThi its me again, sorry for pretty much being dead over here- I kinda forgot that I have a blog to take care of lol
Anyways, here are some stuff I’ve made ever since the last post, still have more in the backlog but I have a lot to think about now cause I got a job, wanting to bring back my pc from the dead, grabbing some games I really wanted to have/play on steam, getting Minecraft officially, and helping out my parents also (as you guys know, I’m brazillian so I have to be really careful with my money)
But yeah, thats about it, I’m gonna make a post of some stuff I’ve made on Minecraft PE too (not the leaked version, just the playstore one)
ALTHappy International Women’s Day!
Today I’m celebrating the strength, creativity, resilience, and joy of women everywhere. Women who came before us, women beside us, and women still finding their way.
All women deserve safety, respect, and the freedom to be themselves. 🌸

One of my assignments this semester was to create an advertisement for an uncomfortable product category using a visual metaphor. The goal was to communicate the problem and advertise the product without relying on literal or embarrassing imagery.
Popular topics included hemorrhoids and acid reflux. I chose Poise pads, designed for feminine urinary incontinence. The visual metaphor I chose was a glass of water with a droplet forming on its surface. This image suggests the concept of leakage in a way that is recognizable, yet not uncomfortable for the viewer.
The pink color palette and ribbon were chosen to reinforce a feminine and calm tone that aligns with the brand’s messaging. The headline “Confidence you can trust” was meant to emphasize reassurance rather than embarrassment.
What do you think are the most effective visual choices in this ad? Does the metaphor communicate the message clearly?

What is Amihan Printables?
Back in 2018 when I was working as a Virtual Assistant, I learned how to combine art and technology to communicate ideas through images. Unexpectedly, I enjoyed it and was quite good at it. From then on, I had used that skill and practiced it through my various vocations over the past few years.
Combining my love for journaling, stationery and infographic designing, I had decided to share my simple creations to the world at an affordable price. Thus, Amihan Printables was put into fruition at the last quarter of 2023.
Why Printables?
Affordable, efficient (I saved you some time searching for a planner or making one), very handy and of course, more than one time use!
Amihan printables are made and meant to be duplicated for re-use as many times as you prefer.
How do you create the printables?
All printables are made by me and designed by myself. I am deeply influenced by the printables and journals I have used in the past. My personal experiences and preferences are deeply associated on all of my work (i.e. pastel colors, watercolor, flowers, and more).
If you think my printables are similar to another, please do remember I do not intend to take credit of any printable you may come across that are similar to mine or if mine are similar to theirs.
I mainly use Canva to create stationery and printables, however, the elements that I use are either free from the site itself or are purchased as individual objects by other artists and illustrators which I do not take personal credit for any of their elements.
All fonts that I use are available and accessible on Canva.
Giving the credit where the credit is due:
Planners that were effective to me and I took inspiration of in making a personalized, effective planners I use myself are by Lavendaire, Emma’s StudyBlr and ShiningMom.com (Go check them out!)
Also, credits goes to all the artists and illustrators of all the elements I had used for my stationery and planners. Thank you for helping me be creative.
Inspiration is being genuinely motivated to tell a similar tale or use it to improve your own work.

One of my first creative assignments this semester was to analyze why a specific design principle was chosen for an advertisement and to examine its appropriateness, so I feel it is right to upload screenshots of that to this blog to add to my portfolio and document my education.
I chose to examine a lipstick ad by Kosas Cosmetics and referenced the design principles found in the “Graphic Design Foundations: Layout and Composition” LinkedIn Learning Course by Sean Adams.
For this particular advertisement, I chose to analyze the art director’s use of grids. They are most obvious in the division of the text and the lipstick, and also in the several colors of the swatches behind the lipstick components.
What do you think are the most prominent design choices in this advertisement? How do they make for an effective piece of media?

I’m a marketing student in my late 20s, making a blog for a college assignment.
Luckily for me, this assignment showed up at the exact right time, because I’ve been debating creating an online space for myself. One of my New Year’s resolutions was to finally start a Substack or a WordPress blog, but Tumblr feels way more native to me. I was a very online 2010s teenager, so getting to come back here for both school and professional reasons feels a little like coming home.
The name “Soft Skills File” means a few things to me.
While learning the technical side of marketing, design, PR, and communication, I’m also building the softer skills that matter: communication, creativity, networking, and the ability to connect with people. This blog is going to be part portfolio, part proof of learning, and part curation of the pop culture, branding, media, and visual inspiration that I love. Consider this my little corner of the internet: a running file of what I’m learning, what I’m making, and what’s shaping my brain.
Take a look around, check out my LinkedIn, or say hi through email if you’d like.
Enjoy your stay,
Amber x
