It’s not a Saturday, but everyday is Sadladurday!

To start, we have newer promo art cooked up by our incredible art lead, @lightsintheskye!
For everyone, new and old, welcome!
We’re SadLad Studios, an indie game studio, currently working on our first game: Third Shift.
In this game, we follow Charlie, who travels to Arbor Hollow in search of their missing older sister, Robin. However, to ensure they can stay in the town to uncover the clues regarding their sister’s whereabouts, they need to work. And what better place to work than the local convenience store! At this convenience store, Charlie will help spirits from all over the forest surrounding the town and maybe discover a few of the town’s own secrets.
Let’s meet a few of the characters:
Here’s Charlie, our main character extraordinaire! Detective (dubbed by Summer) and best friend (dubbed by Kunal), Charlie is who players will be controlling ~

This next one is Kunal! He’s Charlie’s self-proclaimed best friend (but he also actually is Charlie’s best friend and you BETTER BE NICE TO HIM). Spirit medium, knitter of sweaters, and just basically a jack of all trades, Kunal is there to assist Charlie with whatever they need and maybe help them uncover some secrets about Arbor Hollow.

The last one we’ll introduce today is Naomi. Stunning, beautiful, gorgeous, muscular, probably the most perfect being in the universe. Naomi is a bit of an aloof person who visits the convenience store on occasion. She’s also Kunal’s sworn enemy (one-sided). Perhaps she has some ways to unlock Arbor Hollow’s secrets.

We had a few hiccups along the way, but we’re back up and running. Here are some things we’ve been working on:

That’s all folks! See you in the next quarter with more updates~

working third shift has put me through a lot physically and psychologically in the past 6 months (including but not limited to: minor hallucinations, insomnia, hypersomnia, getting into deftones, nicotine addiction) but this is by far the most fucked. i feel disgusting every time i jack off so I can only conclude my brain is now coping with third shift by making me catholic
When your man works third shift so you sleep alone most nights, but after his weekend off getting my cuddles 🥰 and the not getting them Sunday night hits harder. ESPECIALLY WITH IT GETTING COLD NOW WHERE MY HEATER IM FUCKING FREEZING !!!!
I have such a hard time explaining to people that I do not go home and immediately crawl into bed, and literally everyone seems to automatically assume I do - so how many people DO sleep the minute they get off work??
What Time Do You Go To Bed?
As soon as I get off work, then get up and do things before work
I sleep in the afternoon and get up when it’s time to go to work at night
Whenever I feel like it
See ResultsI get off work at 9am and go to bed around 2 so I can get up and get ready for work and go.
Tf when you’re working in a shipping depot—just a big warehouse—and then one of the bay doors opens and I see the trees and they call to me. They call to me and tell me to sprint into them and disappear.
Nothing is open after 11 anymore. Even some gas stations are closed inside. This is an anti-vampire agenda, I swear.
When you’re pulling an all-nighter for work your brain will give you this sales pitch about how German chocolate cake consumed at 1:30am doesn’t have calories and you’ll buy it hook line and sinker.
Me, at 3:41 am: why are all these Tumblr users posting rn go to bed
Me, on Tumblr, posting at 3:41 am:
my ass is about to leave this 14 hour shift at 8 am, take a bath while eating 5 mcdonalds hash browns, and sleep through Monday in its entirety
Happy daylight savings to all my fellow third shifters who just worked an extra hour while everyone else got an extra hour of sleep
It might be inconvenient for doing normal everyday things like grocery shopping or going to the dmv or whatever other inane errands
But working 3rd shift means exactly 0 customer interaction which is worth it and then some
Finally something good has happened in the past few days. Got an interview in the morning. Here’s to hoping I can say bye to overnight shifts.
