oh man. its been almost a year since i saw the clockmaker’s daughter live.
watching Nile red extras new video on his electron microscope and I can stop thinking about skinning a robot, pulling out meters of wire bundle like you would the intestines of a 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 animal, Totally Crazy Day (Total Clanker Death not the other one)

Main character of a fantasy dystopian book I’m working on. I won’t be posting anything but character art for this so I don’t get burned out
“There’s enough margin for all the leverage.”
“There’s enough margin for all the leverage.”

opening with “Fine Day” is so choice. this day rly is fine.
the next banger is “Get In Get Out” which has a really cool groove.
and then there’s the redbook…orchestral :|
there’s a bunch of midi rock tracks too. AKCD3001_19 is the first cool one.
AKCD3001_23 has a bass solo in the middle so that one wins my heart

this is incredibly…. building railroad music.
by all measures it’s quite fine, i just dont like it :|
except for “Rapid Progress”, which slaps.

all redbook and all like… kinda middling?
occasionally it’ll hit a nice beat but it’s. idk. just alright.
f.ex try the lowkey houseish beat of GLCD4001_18. it’s breezy!
i appreciate the take at 2unlimited style rave in GLCD4001_21 but. the vocals :|

that opening is right of the like… what… 1930s? cartoon ass beat. (muted trumpet and such)
yeah it’s mostly chat. cheese.
but then HCD4045_22 is kinda drunken and off-kilter and whoops thats my fav now.

im combining the CD version and the PSG version even though they’re two separate released. also the CD version doesnt SEEM to be 1-to-1 with the PSG version but… it kinda is sometimes? idk
“Round 3” is so good and creepy on PSG. i like that minimalism. the CD version is alrite.
“Round 4” prolly my fav track, heavy preference for the psg version tho! it’s goofy in a kinda grounded way! very much feels like a character theme
“Round 5” works really nicely in both timbres. the rompler dist guitar hits nicely man idk
“Boss 1” translates really well to CD! it has a touch of levity that sounds great with full instrumentation
the CD version of “Moon Base” kinda blows the PSG version out of the water. the psg version isn’t bad by a long shot, but the use of redbook timbres really elevated the song.
meanwhile the PSG version of “Round 7” kinda kicks ass because the abstraction that the chip forces is more interesting than the “kinda arabic inspired instrumentation”
lots of words there but overall its just good id say
Ngl i think its kinda funny that as far as we know like no one gets arrested at the end of the clockmakers daughter AFTER SOMEONE WAS FUCKING MURDERED LMAO
Like nah everyones punishment is that they now have to live with their actions and will never be able to forget as constances ghost haunts the town square and Will literally comes back to life to haunt them and constantly remind them too lmao like i love the levels of petty that he goes to the town square EVERY YEAR to remind them of what they did lmao

peppy and pretty tightly mixed down
GECD-1014_04 is the big standout here. feels like a themesong but it’s placed after what i presume is the actual themesong.

GED-1010_02 is in 7, right? you hear that right?
regardless that’s a really good little jam!!
after that it’s an OP or ED, and then a copy of that rly good jam. so. hm. ok.

??? is that a sailor moon parody or a slightly off cover? lmao?
GECD-1012_33 is a clean sfx-free version. i love this.
the rest is fine. i kinda like the GECD-1012_35 the [second-]most. eroscene soft guitar thing. (this is allegedly a nsfw game)
Currently snowing ouside and i decided to go out cuz why not and probably had the WORST TCD Scar shift of. My. Life.
Idk why I haven’t done this yet but oh well
Proudly sharing an amazing fanfic I’ve been following since the beginning

I love TCD!Scar so much you have no idea 🥹

what if psg orchestral… were good? this is one of those.
“Boss” dives into something a bit more… jazzy maybe? i love the chords in the second half so much
i love the lazy tempo of “Emphasizing Agriculture (Ruins)”. literally just some dude jamming
fav is the autumn breeze of “Temple of Diga”
the redbook portion is just actual orchestra. it’s alright. a bit soft and sentimental
