- Es keeps it a secret that they’re ill at first, because they don’t want to push their responsibilities onto Sumi and Touchi, but that leads to them passing out.
- Sumi and Touchi make sure they don’t leave their bed and take all of the work for the day off of their shoulders
- Touchi gets defensive when the prisoners or Jackalope want to speak with them during their illness, saying that Es’s rest shouldn’t be interrupted.
- Sumi teases them relentlessly while caring for them (big sister energy)
- The wardens hover over Es constantly, but will leave them alone if asked.
- Sumi does most of the caring while Touchi watches to make sure nothing goes wrong (He’s a bit paranoid)
