Every time I try to think of Springer I instinctively use she/her pronouns and go “oh yeah that G1 lesbian ship with Arcee”
she’s a femme now I guess idk
I think I probably got Springer & Moondancer merged in my head at some point and that was the result

March of Robots - day 13: Metalder
Who say that I had to limit myself to Pokémon and Mega Man when it comes to fanart this month?For day 13 of March of Robots we got Metalder from the sixth Metal Heroes series Choujinki Metalder.
Metalder is a robot that was originally made for war but hidden away until his creator Dr. Koga activated him to fight the Neros Empire, even getting killed by them to activate Metalder’s combat abilities.
I also drew his robot companion Springer who was also made as part of the same program and supports Metalder from their base and is one of his closest friends with the others being the humans Mai Ougi and Hakko Kita.
Has a human form named Ryusei Tsurugi.
Many of you may recognize him as the Ryan Steele’s first VR Trooper form in VR Troopers.

The Memory Maze (9/12)
Warnings: Timeline fuckery, Later robot sex, Continuity is more like a suggestion and I suggest you worry less about it for this one
Pairings: Arcee/Hot Rod/Springer
Rating: T
Synopsis: With the most immediate leaking addressed, Springer begins to scan the area, including the wreckage. Information seeking is a good way to deal with the situation while ignoring the pressing signal from his processor that has been nagging him from the start.
Springer doesn’t remember what was happening before the crash. He isn’t sure why the crash happened. He doesn’t know who is supposed to be here with him, if anyone. He doesn’t know where here is supposed to be. And he doesn’t know what his mission is.
The last part isn’t entirely true.
A/N: I know I know, the updates are slow BUUUUT we’re in the final round of chapters!! Only three after this one! I don’t know WHY Springer’s POV fought me so much on this one but hopefully it’ll be enjoyable~
Chapter 9: Creeping Crawling
Springer waits quietly in the darkness as his two dearest partners and friends finally, finally calm down enough to stop vibrating the incomprehensibly sticky threads of their entrapment. As he does so, he collects himself to the tune of his own venting and shifts his optics through the various modes of visual aid he was modified to have. With each image, he collects and tags data neatly before storing it away as either confirmation or condemnation.
After an admittedly impressive full breem of silence, Hot Rod jerks himself and thus the rest of the restraints along with Arcee and Springer. “Well?” he calls out, voice strained from annoyance.
“‘Well,’ what?” Springer asks, still sorting through images carefully.

The seventh bot to slice their way into Galaxy Version 9 is Springer! I have always wanted a Blokees figure of this guy as I just knew he’d be a great fit for this style, and it looks like I was right! I also appreciate that you can flip up his shoulderpads to better resemble his Siege toy’s look.

Let’s go with 🪶 spring headcanon for Tarantulas.
Tarantulas/Mesothulas seems like the sort to be oblivious to the seasons (existing as he does at a clinical remove from them), but his heavily romantic and frankly occult leanings force upon him a certain mystical respect for the turning of the year. Spring in particular has a special significance in his imagination, being the season of Ostaros’s birth.
